If you get off into the pine straw on the side of my driveway in your PT cruiser, you will find that the open diff no longer has traction, and I'll have to come sit on your hood to get you unstuck. |

I heard Ford went to a timing chain on the Focus in '05.I've had my fill of interference
motors with timing belts.No more. |

I have no interest in a PT Cruiser,but there is something I like about the HHR,heavy and underpowered or not.

Buellish, I'd take a long test drive or rent on for a few days if your really thinking about a HHR.
Just got back from a few back to back trips for work .. co-worker had a rental HHR .. very not impressed.
however I had a ford fusion and a focus on the trips. have to say I was surprisingly impressed. fusion .. very refined and a nice sedan. The focus was nice .. the control's, radio ect were a bit hard to use where the fusion was easy to use. Focus was not bad .. steering ad road feel was good though a bit "twitchy". Both would be on my buy list if I was in the market. That said .. when did the "cheap" car go to 20K+ !!!! |

When they started making "safety cages" and sh!t like airbags and seat belts! All that stuff first came on Mercedes for a reason! Then all the poor people thought, "Hey, I want to be able to drive like a retard and live too!" Darwin didn't invent the Beetle, but he definitely thought it was a good idea!

The Focus Wagon is high on my list.It has 10 more cubic feet of space than the HHR.
Room for motorcycle stuff,camping gear,guitars,amps.........
The Fusion is cool but doesn't come as a hatch or wagon. |

Therein lies the problem.Finding a "Good one".
I was looking at these a while back and couldn't find a 5 door locally and within my budget.And I worry that its akin to buying a 600cc sport bike.
How do you know it hasn't been thrashed?
I'd thrash it if it were mine.

I wanted to get Shelley of those that wasn't all ragged out. Think most of the previous owners were big fans of the "Fast and the Furious" lol!
The Mini is fun, turbo helps. Told Shelley were selling it in Feb when the baby is born.
Thats right...the Buffington klan is going to be +1 in Late Jan or early Feb

Glitch asked me to post that we'll be supplying the burgers, hot dogs and buns for Saturday's big event.
B.Y.O.B. and chips or other snack stuff to go with the main course.
New12 - do we need to bring paper plates and plasticware, etc. or do you have a stash pile?

I'd love to ride Matt, but I hurt my right hand (knuckle) at work yesterday.

We'll bring some cold water melon and cantaloupe. Maybe some Chick-Kabobs. It should help with the healing process for Glitch's knuckle. It's like soul food for us North Carolina folks.
What a drag it is getting hurt, and on your birthday. Don't want to hear this getting old stuff.
Wish I could have got Chick fil a to bring our food out to ya in the cow outfit singing Happy Birthday yesterday. I tried.... LOL!
