My ’99 M2 Cyclone tach is not working at all. I have had the tank off and checked the wiring and it seems to be OK. Checked and cleaned the connectors. Everything on the bike works fine except for the tach. This is the factory add on kit that someone else added that has worked for a number of years. I have a shop manual, but because the '99 didn't come stock with a tach, there's no mention of it, or any help. Does anyone know the voltages or ohms that the tach is supposed to be receiving so I can investigate it further? I want to rule in or out the tach itself, and move on from there. Since the tank has to be removed to really inspect things it becomes an interesting ordeal. This is a low mileage bike, that is excellent shape. |
