Went to the drag strip on Friday night. Kept my bike setup just like it was for road racing, I was pretty happy with this, my best pass.

Tim - Exactly! I've been pretty good off the line so far this year, but I have a friend that drags so we figured do this for some fun and some launch practice at the same time. Bike has Erik Buell Racing full exhaust and ECM, that's it. |

Joe Since this is my road race bike, i'm going to leave it. I need to be able to launch it as it sits when the green flag drops. I was hoping for a little better in the 60' area, but that was with floating the front, so at least for me, may have been about the best it was going to get. |

But being first into turn 1 never hurt your chances! |

Any tips on the launching? I've gone to the strip a few times recently and I can't get better than 1.9 60ft time. I don't burnout (need my tires) but still do a quick tire scrub. What tire pressures did you run? Do you short shift 1st? Just let the from wheel come up and ride it out? It always feels like its going to loop given the chance. |
