Suggestion-Change your trans lube immed. to Mobil One 75-90W gear oil . Great great stuff.

After 1000 miles, switch to Mobil One 15-50W. Ditto great stuff.

Bruce, I have heard that it is best to run in the tranny for a while on "not so great" oil and then swap after everything is settled. Say 50 miles to the first swap to extract the first wave of particles, then run the second fill to about 250, then a third fill to 500, then go for synth...

Maybe I'll just follow the manual, but doesn't that say to leave the first wave of particles in for 500 miles??? Ouch...

I changed the trans oil at 225 miles and it did have lots of little metal shavings in it. Used the Mobil One at that point and again at 1000 miles. Very few shavings at the 1000 miles change.

In the engine, I used HD dino oil at 225 miles and changed filter as well. Again, shavings there at 225 miles.

Then at 1000 miles switched to Mobil One 15-50. Bike is running very very well and shifting better than my previous Ninja did.
Runs cooler too, with less fan run on.

Good luck
