Well i just finished rebuilding an 2008 1125r, went out for my first ride and noticed the clutch was weeping... I am pretty sure it has the Rev A cover :-( Is there anyway to replace the internals without replacing the cover??? If I have to replace the internals and the cover I'm looking at spending $600-$700. I have already replaced the entire frame, front wheel, all of the plastics, speedometer... I really can't afford to dump this money into the bike. |

The fix is part number X2086.1AM, it is just over $200, it is a new set of seals and a piston and will fix the problem. Changing the cover does nothing. |

I have an 09 and after a ride I always find that the bottom of the puck on the clutch cover is wet with clutch fluid. So do I see a seal replacement in my soon future? |

""Guess when the time comes to replace the clutch."" That's good, the clutch in my R1 has just over 100,000 miles on it and is ready for more miles. So that means that my leaking CR should go 100,000 plus miles without the leak getting worse...? It's just a trickle if the bike sits for more thAn about three days. Nothing over night. It's driven every week day. Mike |

I've ridden a weepy clutch for a few thousand miles didn't get any worse. I've also had it get so bad one time that when I pulled the lever in the fluid was shooting out the hole like an old school water pistol. The clutch action gets less effective is the biggest thing I noticed. |

it's leaking inside as well as outside so i'd be a bit careful with a long term leak |

Eventually you lose all clutch pressure and have to bump shift. I had it happen 3 times on my bike, twice with my wife on the back. |

Mine leaked down onto my Black Barker exhaust and made a mess of the anodising... Just something to be aware of... |

thats true the brake fluid is really bad on pretty much anything it gets on worse if that thing gets hot ie our exhaust |

Might be worth Emailing Oberon Performance in the UK to find out how their upgrade kit for the slave cyl is coming along. They already make conventional 'push' cylinders for Ducati and KTM. The more people who contact them, the quicker they might be if they appreciate the extent of the problem |

Ah, my specialty: bringing a thread back from the dead! Is that part number for the most recent version of the fix? I understand there are 2 or 3 versions of "fixing" the problem? |

X2086.1AM is the only part number that fixes it. |
