Looked at the Miller site and they show Grandstand and grounds tickets. Never been there so I don't know which one if either will get me in the paddock. Any locals know? |

Guy - Just get in the door, and you can get access - You cannot get access to pits unless you're "special" but the paddock area is accessible to anyone. We'll be there Saturday and Monday at least, then hitting the course (open track) on Tuesday. (Message edited by Stirz007 on May 22, 2011) |

Maybe Court needs someone to carry his camera bag that should make me special. |

Should be a fun weekend with WSBK and AMA Pro and Danny Eslick back in the XR class! For anyone coming to the track, please stop by our garage to say hi. #70 and #72 XR1200s. For those who can't make it, the races will be broadcast on SPEED on Monday night. And we will try to keep our FB and Twitter feeds updated with news and pix. Go Erik Buell Racing! Bring on the 1190 era! www.Twitter.com/jamesgangracing https://www.facebook.com/pages/James-GangHoban-Bro thers-Racing/186175074760801 (Message edited by Jamesgangracing on May 22, 2011) |

Guy, to clearify a little further; the pit stalls go through from the paddock area to the track. If you're in the paddock area you have access to the teams and riders from that side but not on the track side. Last year I talked personally to Erik, Michael Tjon and Geoff for about half an hour when they were not busy. The picture below with those three is looking through their stall toward track side from the paddock area. I never met nicer people!

bummer: FROM Erik Buell Racing facebook: Unfortunately we will not be bringing the Erik Buell Racing 1190RS bikes to Miller. Too little time to get them ready, tested, and hauled out there. So the team will run the Buell 1125RR's. Our focus has been 99.9% on 1190RS street bike production and we simply weren't able to do both. Maybe Road America, but not likely, as it is only one week later. We should be good for Barber, definitely for Mid-Ohio. |

I hope it is barber, but I got to be one of the first "civilians" to ever ride an 1125R at Mid Ohio, so it would be poetic for the 1190RR to make a debut there as well. I'll be there! Look for the guy with a limp. |

youz got one of those too huh? Geez I hope Bob doesn't have one as well else I might think it had something to do with our pit in area... Wish I could make it to Mid-O. Even though I'm buelless for the first time in 8 yrs-Go Erik Buell Racing! |

That would be very unfortunate if it wasn't ready for Road America. Not only could they use the extra power on the long straights but also there will be write a few Erik Buell Racing supporters there. |

Hope is not lost for Road America . . . and I'm betting the bike is ready to go . . .it's just a matter of that pesky paperwork and all the certifications. More of an "hours in the day" than a "parts in the bike" sort of a challenge. The key focus. . understandably . . had to be on building the production bikes. I've got my fingers crossed for Road America too . . . . but we'll see. |

I feel sorry for Geoff May, he seemed so excited on his facebook page to race the 1190RS at Miller on the World stage . Know he will be lucky to finish in the top 15 on the underpowered 1125RR ,and at Road America it will be even worse, since Road America has 3 long straights, and it is not in the high altitude thin air like Miller is . |

Geoff is wound up and ready to rock . . . the bike won't be far behind. And . . . as eager as we are all . . it's absolutely essential that every i be dotted and t crossed lest any controversy arise . . . and, based on whispers I'm hearing . . it very well may. I can't wait to see the 1190RS and Geoff in action but I want the sweetness of a perfectly level playing field. The good news is that Geoff has done incredible things with 1125R and I'm betting one way or the other Road America is going to be a hoot. |

With Ducati & Aprilia evidently out of AMA "Superbike" competition we will likely be the only non four cylinder (twins) bikes competing and with the 1190RS when its homologated, up front regularly. Thats going be real fun watching! |

one of the comments on "CW" 1190RS - ".....another Steve Anderson/Buell love fest....." well, yeah - wouldn't have it any other way - one can't always be objective! |
