So about a week ago i was driving around some corners like a big dummy and hit some gravel and dumped my bike. Anyway since then my gas mileage has dropped from about 65 mpg to about 50-55 mpg, and there is a noticeable loss of mid range power. There has also been some harder starts, and it has died a few times if i dont give it a steady throttle until it warms up. It will also backfire every now and then I'm just looking for some suggestions from someone a bit more mechanically savvy then me! Any help would greatly be appreciated. My bike is a 2001 buell blast with 9000 miles on it, before this it had always rode beautifully (Message edited by degeneratejoe182 on May 19, 2011) |

Did it land/fall to the left or right? AKA - a loose ground, or das boot? Or both? EZ |

I'd check both the manifold coupler and for loose grounds front and rear since they are both on the left side of the bike. Check plug and wire, and that vacuum line from tank is not kinked also. EZ (Message edited by ezblast on May 20, 2011) |
