Hello all, I asked about this on an earlier thread but it seemed the thread stopped there as no one responded. On the flexi-glass website, there are ram air rad shrouds for the 1125r. Says they save 15 to 20 pounds and they make the bike run 20 degrees cooler. This is awesome! Anyone have any of these and will they fit on a CR as well? Thanks for the help! Mike |

They don't use fans. So, not a good choice for a street bike. FYI. |

I have them on my race bike, and they work as advertised. |

They are a pretty 'cool' set-up and I almost dropped the coin myself - I ended up using their competition uppers and modded the stock inners to delete the fans and open them up for better ram-air flow (so far no overheating problems on the track). Flexi's quality is very good. I have a hard time with the 15-20 lb savings statement, though: Stock inner and outer pods, including fans only weigh about 7.5 lbs total (I weighed them). So if you completely remove them you lose 7.5 lb. Now you get to add back the weight of the new bodywork. I'd be really interested where this extra 7-12 lb weight reduction comes from..... |

Stirz, I'm with you on the weight thing... I think it's about 10 lbs tops. You do shed some hardware and other tidbits, but it's not 20 lbs. You might get closer to 20 if you also go with their tail, airbox cover, and nose... the Fiberglass stuff is lighter than the OEM plastic. |
