A research company called me today, and they’re paying $75 for motorcycle riders to participate in market research. They weren’t specific, but they said the research would consist of “riding futuristic motorcycles.” I assume it’s a major manufacturer looking for feedback on new models. It will take place at Atlanta Motor Speedway, and they have slots open Friday May 13th through Sunday May 15th.
They need more riders, so if you want to join in the fun, the number is 800-736-7970. Ask for Jerry, Eric, or Vivian. You need a valid license, and you need to own a motorcycle. They said they have a referral program, so I might get a bonus if you tell them I referred you too. |

Lucked into a demo ride on the Super Tenere
Local dealer was having a demo ride today so I decided to go and see what was there. Show up at 2:15 and see there is a Super Tenere on the demo ride list. Ask if there are any open slots for the super tenere .. one slot left, it's for the Super Tenere .. at 2:30 !!!

Super Tenere
Good motor. Not the torque I expected but not bad. Don’t need to shift it a lot to ride it. Didn’t get a chance to open it up, so I don’t really have a feel for the top end. No drama or rush of power, just went.
Nice wind protection. Seat is shorter than the Uly but everything is. I flat footed easily.
It seems like it would be a good platform for longer rides. Feels light, weight feels low for a somewhat tall bike. I would love to take it in the dirt and see how it does. |

I received a call too. The girl said that the motorcycles wouldn't be ready in time for this weekend, and they will call if they re-schedule the test / survey. |

I was initially denied to take part. They called me back today and I'm signed up for 10:30 on Friday.
The guy I spoke with (Jay) told me if I know anyone else interested to call 800-736-7970 and ask for him.
Then they called me right back and told me all spaces are full.
Sounds somewhat disorganized, but what the hell...Not like I have a job or anything else to do.

You may want to put out the word to the bike riders to stay off of 120 around Discover Mills. They just started repaving it and there are pieces of rock tar asphalt and all kinds of shit pelting the hell out of the bus!I think Breckinridge is affected too.

So the research Co. called me back and said hurry up and get here...So I spent the afternoon at AMS with half of the BSB crew. Cool Stuff. I'm sworn to secrecy so I can't tell you nothing about it, but it was cool. And I got 75 bucks. |

They also called me yesterday. You said it, they aren't the most organized group of folks. Once I made it down to AMS, things went a bit smoother. For the amount of time it took, they could have forked out some more cash, and maybe a sandwich. Interesting day, but I can't talk about it.
