They are stamped left and right.... left is shifter side, right is brake side, correct? Its when you are sitting on the bike looking forward? Whats the purpose of the metal "tab" on the new style isolators? |

"Whats the purpose of the metal "tab" on the new style isolators?" IMO the "ears" are a safety feature to keep the frame from dropping in the event the rubber was to separate from the metal. |
