Ok trying this again. Looking for a Blast similar starter bike for a friend of mine in the north eastern US. He is in Saratoga, NY, so the closer the better, but we don't mind making a small trip for the right bike. He finally got around to getting his permit, so this time he is serious about getting a bike. Anyway, show me what you got!  | ||

If your deal falls through look me up. I've got a blast (2001 purple - low milage) and I could probably get it to Saratoga w/o cost because I'm over due for a trip up there. | ||

It was nice, we got only one ticket! I rode it from Queens back to his house. Some cop was sitting in the woods hidden out of view; he claims to have clocked us doing 80. Yea, 80 on a Blast on the most cop laden parkway in the world, my ass. I didn't stop as I didn't even know he was after us, but my friend got a ticket. Happened near Malian or something like that. I was cruising, and looked in the mirror and thought I saw my friend’s car in the distance so I slowed down to let him catch up. Turned out it was an old man in a Buick. I started to get worried that something happened as we were together the entire time up to this. I pulled over at the first scenic overlook and waited a few minutes, there wasn't anything I could do. My phone, tablet, and other goodies were in his car so I had no way of contacting him. Luckily he caught up a few minutes later and told me what happened. Sometimes I hate this state. The cops are fine, but I can't stand the revenue collectors. Rest of the ride north was uneventful. Between gas, tolls, food, battery and fluids for the Blast, then the ticket on top of everything, it ended up being one hell of an expensive day! |
