Hey guys I have a vance & hines ss2-r exhaust on my 02 m2 - sounds great but recently the end cap fell off. Through researching replacements I've seen the words "quiet baffle" mentioned with my exhaust model. - what purpose does the baffle serve? - are baffles used for noise reduction? - can you remove the baffle? (performance drawbacks?) I love the thump of this baby but if I could get it to turn up to 11 (spinal tap reference) I think I might..."it's one louder" I live in Texas, where women & men drive big trucks and love to chat on their cell phones...the throttle acts as my horn and I feel more safe knowing they hear/feel me riding along side of them. Ohh...and the wife, she runs out in the morning to warm my bike up for me bc she loves the sound when lighting it up. Thanks for the help. |

If you like loud and can weld. Get a glasspack muffler and weld it on your header. It's almost straight pipe loud. |

Sanders Are you nuts? You don't weld mufflers to Buell headers. Have you ever tryed to replace an old school header? Clamps!! |

Try and get a genuine replacement baffle/end cap; the one that belongs on the ss2r. |

I have a ss2r I'm willing to part with. It's been repaired (cracks) and repacked. It's got a few scrapes on the bottom of it from the previous owner. I upgraded to a Buell race system. |
