Went for a ride yesterday and bike was smooth as usual, later in the day vibrations increased in footpegs and felt really bad under slight acceleration and full throttle. Did a visual on isolators and don't see anything wrong. Any ideas? |

Is your top front motor mount broken? The motor drops down a bit and rests on the frame. Lots of vibration. |

Listen to the primary. If it sounds like knocking/rattling coming out of there you may have a loose engine sprocket nut. |

I will listen to primary and report back tomorrow. I have already checked all exhaust mounts. |

I've had the front fail in a sneaky way that I couldn't see until it was removed. Also, when my rears failed, the little cracks were behind the mounting points. For the rear: lift up on the tail and see if the big hex bolts move up in the frame holes. As for the front? I have no trick. Sorry. |

Do you have a V&H can? The packing melted out of mine as it does....but then the center piece that the packing slides over broke and it was like riding a diesel with square tires. |

The rear mounts on my 99 X1 were just replaced, however I didn't feel a vibration, it was more like metal and metal slapping together. Replaced with the ones from American Sportbike and all smooth. I've read several posts that these mounts fail quite often, and quickly if not installed properly. Good hunting. |
