Sorry - had to rub it in.... We are heading ever closer to summer, and today was just perfect. 30 deg C. Love this weather - still comfortable enough to wear the leather jacket. Doing a coast run tomorrow for breakfast. Life is good!

Too sweet in Pumpkin Center ya'll! Just did 50 miles before breakfast. I don't know the temp but it's beautiful.

Thank you to ReepiCheep (I believe it was his suggestion?) for the 75W 90 Mobil One. I can't believe the difference it made. It was like night and day. I rode this morning in Nike running shoes and the M2 has always shifted so hard that tennis shoes were not an option -- shifted smooth and sweet.

Just tooling around the back roads, not flogging it, no hot rodding, just casual cruising.

Greg

PS them lady bugs are a major PITA one good frost and we should be rid of them

Wednesday in Denver Colorado USA, Sunny, 81 degrees and 40 mph winds. Thursday, freezing rain, high was 29 degrees, ditto for Friday. Aspen, Colorado was in the high 50's! I got ZERO trick or treaters. All of that candy is MINE! :)

Might hit 50 something today, roads are thawing. Good day for a ride. Unless you are in the Sangre De Cristo Mountain Range, they were expecting 1-2 feet of snow above 9,000 feet. (that means Morgan is shoveling right now)

It's very cold here at the moment in London, about 10c with a strong north wind,it feels more like 6-8c.
The backroads are covered in leaves, making it very slippery on a Xb,it gets dark about 4.30pm,all-in-all NOT good biking weather!

Geez I envy you guys..........

It is 42 and raining in the middle of this big country. But no better time to prepare the ironhead drag bike for its new owner tomorrow.
Then I can get the necessary go fast items for the XB12R.
Sorry, I don't really know any of you, but I think I envy those of you who are enjoying the good weather in the world. At least there are no wildfires in the Ozarks.(Lil Sis lives San Diego) Sometimes the rain is welcome.

Well miracles happen. The postmen are on strike here in nippy London. So after a three hundred mile round trip to the Midlands I returned with an original copy of my inshurance documents JUST in time to get my XB12R registered befor everything shut for the weekend. Saterday, and I'm into the crowded Chelsea showroom, pick up my keys and out onto the asphelt. Bike feels incredable! Rock solid and as nimble as a Romanian gymnast. But boy, douse that engine have balls! Even when running in the engine's huge chunks of torque are simply astonishing. Cars disapear at the drop of a clutch and the bike seems to effortlessly catapult up to and beyond the speed limit. I headed South form London first up onto the North Downs and then via the windey but dry back roads to the coast. Through piles of mulshy leaves, down hill with negative cambers the bike remained planted never once feeling awkward or fussed. The brakes inspire two fingered confidence that had the tail pop up to stop for an Indian family who unexpectantly decided to cross the road. All in all I spent 187 miles almost oblivious of the freezing conditions having myself a ball. Can't wait for my next ride.(Recon I'll get a pair of longjohns next time though!)

I'm not trying to upset our northern, and European, brethren, but we had to kick on the A/C last night to cool the house down before going to bed. It's supposed to be the same today and I know that the Tilley's Gang is going up to the BRP to enjoy the weather. Am I going? Nope, sure not, wife elected me head cook for family BBQ with the in-laws and out-laws.

Hey Trusty748, I have a elder brother who lives in Forster 4hrs North of Sydney apparently ?

I'd love to go,but alas I proberly would'nt want to come back ! besides i'd miss the Xb to much.

Grufflie I was just generalising about the weather, not the XB ! Shawn Higbees suspension settings and Bridgestone 010 tyres on the 9s, and I reckon i've just about got the frightning spot-on,put it this way I don't have any chicken traks.Oh you can still get big CC V-twins in a twist in damp slipperly conditions, don't be fooled into thinking Erik has it sussed yet.

Good luck with yer 12 mate, and as Stot says keep an eye on UKBeg.com for future London meetings/rides.
