Holy Crap, another thread gone to a "my cam is bigger than your cam thread". Ride what you like, it's all good...and quarter mile times on a street bike are in the hands of the rider...the faster the bike, the harder it is to ride....here is my favorite "fast street bike"..
long since retired...but it outran all comers...it takes big brass ones to ride a bike that will carry the wheel across the stripe at near 200mph. |

Well I think the 1125 is an engineering marvel. But the 750 is a refined marvel. There's so many more pros with the 750 than the r. But the r has some cool factors and torque. |

Curve carver, if I may suggest you have always had atypical tastes for a Bueller. You wanted some sort of "Jap looking" dual exhaust set-up for your Buell just as an example. Nothing wrong with that other than it was not in keeping with the whole idea of Buell "mass centralization". So its always been sort of obvious that you have different tastes. I think you will be happier on the Suzuki given what I know of you from your posts. Enjoy which one you like the best. Life is short, enjoy what bike you prefer. -Tutt |

"It's nice to have those quad headlights and maintenance free belt drive." not if you want to do burnouts. |

1125Rcya - why are you giving thumbs down to Fast? Cause he likes the Stotz bike? Or because he called this thread what it is - people bickering over a few HP here and htere etc (not the entire thread, but much of it) Fast - Dont know if you knew, but they are back racing again, were at the Manufacturers Cup spring race, fast bike! |

After serious thinking I've decided to dump my buell. My buell has been nothing but a money pit since I bought it. The bad :Engine changes, belts breaking, bad fueling, unable to change gearing, electrical issues, rotor warpage, generator and voltage regulator issues. . To sum it up I need a bike thats reliable enough to get me to work and heat great gas milage. On the weekend I need a bike that can tear through curves yet be reliable. The buell doesn't meet any of this criteria. The buell is a engineering marvel but isn't practical to the average rider. And I assure you the gsxr 750 exceeds every category when stacked up to the buell. Flame away and drink your buellaid everyone. |

Having multiple bikes is pretty much a necessity for any riding enthusiast. The 750 and the 1125 are definitely going to have different feels, and some days you might be in the mood for one and other days, the other. I guess what I'm saying is that while your wife might want you to have just one bike, unless you are in a financial situation where you can't afford to have two bikes, I'd recommend against selling either one of them. Sure, my wife would like it if I had just one bike, but she knows that's not gonna happen. =) If you do have to sell one of them, then think long and hard about what you want out of a bike and then let the one that comes up short be sold. Personally, I'd like to add a GSX-R750 to my stable (currently an 1125R, a 675, a CBR600F2 and a DRZ-400E) but not at the cost of any of the other bikes. I'd also like to add a Ducati 848 and an Aprilia RSV4 Factory, but I'd have to win the lottery to get that past my wife, and I don't believe in playing the lottery. |

After serious thinking I've decided to dump my buell. Boy, now there's a HUGE surprise. WHy don't you just admit this whole thread is a masked way to dump on the Buell yet again. Do us all a favor, sell the Buell and get the funk out of here. |

Having multiple bikes is pretty much a necessity for any riding enthusiast. Don't know about that one. I ride other bikes whenever I get the chance. 90% of the time I just want to get back on my 1125R ASAP--especially when riding <1000cc IL4 bikes. |

They have a CBR1000 this time around, right?...need somebody to take it to the BMW guys until somebody gets an 1125/1190 up to speed... Joe is bumping the 8 second barrier with his no bars bike...would love to see the pass if he can get the 60 ft in the 1.20 range...I would love to build one with a 10" tire chassis and a pair of 5 pound nitrous cylinders I suspect the limit (as with most bikes), would be in the transmission and clutch...around 275 rear wheel hp would do the trick...I'll bet you can squeeze enough smurfs in there to get that... |

This thread is drowning in Buellaid. Well this is the largest Buell enthusiast website on the 'Net, so if the fact most of the posts are pro-Buell surprises you, you are dumber than your last comment. |

I was very close to buying a 2008 GSXR750 last year. Damn good bike. I wound up passing on it. My current stable is the 1125R and an SV1000S. I prefer the power delivery of twins. Given some time to get used to the GSXR's power delivery I'm sure it would be good, too. |

Fresno: Just because someone is an enthusiast doesn't mean they have to be a brandfag. The Honda/Suzuki/Yamaha/Kawasaki guys who a lot of people complain about here are the exact same thing as you guys. Brandfags. There's nothing wrong with being "pro-Buell", hell that's me, but being an idiot about it abounds on this forum. I honestly used to think Gixxer.com and some of the Honda forums were the worst, but this outweighs all of them in brandfaggery without a doubt. Some of you guys are just plain old blind. If it wasn't for some of the knowledge that's archived on the 1125R board I'd never even check in here. That's the only saving grace. And it's unfortunately worth coming back for...then you see posts like this..... (Message edited by drawkward on May 05, 2011) |

Jonathan (Drawkward), >>> This thread is drowning in Buellaid. What a joke this is. I've read the entire thread and have no idea what you are talking about. If the thread is as you assert "drowning in Buellaid", which to me implies highly biased propaganda, then you should be able to easily identify three such posts. Your attitude sucks. |

Draw - we've not seen eye to eye on everything, but Im with you on this one. You can be Pro-Buell (or whatever brand) and still think that something else is better in some aspects Love this thread, love seeing people get up in arms about nothing that concerns them Fast - I dont know all of the details, I just saw some pictures and video on dragbikelive.com from the Man.Cup race Its fast, and its nice to see something besides gixxers running in ProStreet |
