had a day at moorespeed yesterday, left to our own devices on the dyno, ran stock system, a reverso system from before, one of my exhausts and one of my exhausts with a drummer spec ecu as it looks nearest to mine ( or did at the time ) went for a ride around tourist hit bournemouth with avalaugh, he's way faster than i'll ever be all in all a good day out avalaugh has a photo of a 138.9 on his phone but i can't find the data i'm sure he'll post it up
Was a good day all be it long. Have a load of pics and a video to upload tomorrow as I'm getting drunk now to celebrate being alive after the mother of all tank slappers today, way into the 3 figure speeds was a very very lucky boy.
Thanks for the insight DB, but it's not that. My bike is very well set up now. I know people say they had a tank slapper, but really haven't....
Well I had a proper one, black marks all over the road for 300 yds, bruises on my ankles, had no brakes after as the fluid was so shook-up, cracked my carbon fibre front mud guard, the steering lock stops on my my lower trips have dented the frame and my pants were soiled :0
The Tyres had the strangest scrub marks all over both sides too as it flipped from side to side.
I have the LSL damper on my Lightning and consider it to be mandatory for that bike. Been thinking about betting the Ohlins damper for the 1125 even though I've seen no bad behavior yet (personally). However, a friend totaled his CR recently just entering the fast lane on the freeway, for no apparent reason!
That's motivation enough for me.....! Your post just adds to it. Also, most all of the Jap bikes seem to come stock with a damper.....
spiffious avalaugh has a drummer ecm on his bike with my exhaust and that made the 138.9bhp mine had an hmf ecm and was a few bhp down. one day i'll get an exhaust off to ebr for a specific ecm. the bike is still loud but not d&d loud i wouldn't imagine, i can ride all day without a headache but riding with avalaugh with his as well was pretty loud although neither of us were running baffles in them, they're about 108db@5k with a baffle
Albert, is your power graph the curve in blue showing 136.54 hp ? If so this looks like a much better curve as it has around 10hp more all through the range. In reality a small hp gain at the top of revs mean virtually nothing especially on the road.
Yes,I will go to the bsb and maybe the wsb at silverstone and do the "parade" if possible. I am doing a track day at lydden this saturday should be fun. So going back to yours and pauls test,it seemed the best setup was your pipe with ecu with drummer calibration.?
