Appropriately, after 10 months in Iraq, our unit landed on US soil (Bangor, Maine) at 9:11 this morning! I am really looking forward to a great summer of ridding. |

Welcome home and a BIG Thanks to you! I just saw my cousin yesterday for the first time since he came back. He's been at Walter Reed for some time now healing and rehabbing from a shot to the foot. It was nice as I got to thank him several times!! Again I (and probably most of the BWB family) Thank you for your service. Druelly |

Thanks for all the comments and well wishes. Yesterday after landing in Bangor for aircraft refuel and servicing...within the first hour on US soil I called my wife, parents, and placed an order with Al over at American Sport Bike. I'd say that was a productive hour! Now we are at Fort Hood, TX for a few days of demobilization prior to heading home...and of course I am wide awake at 2 am local time! Jeff...yes Dan is with us...and excited about heading out to Colorado in a week or two to pick up your (now his) bike! I'll be sure to show him some of my favorite roads before he heads back to Kansas! Following my last deployment in 2006, when I purchased my first Buell, I brought one of my co-workers (troyys) with me as we both got Uly's....now in 2011 I was able to bring another deployed buddy over to the Buell family. I am 2 for 2! I guess enthusiasm is infectious!! On the 23rd of May I will be riding the newer Blue Uly to NJ in order to join up with my Red Uly which I left with my Brother last May. Then my son Sean will be flying out to NJ to meet up with me...then we will be heading west together for the 2011 Homecoming festivities! Next, Sean and I will be heading to Branson where we will meet the rest of the family for little vacation. Then we will convoy it back home to conclude my three week, estimated 5000 mile, road trip! Hopefully this trip will not be as eventful as my last trip cross country...or my last homecoming trip with Sean...but either way I may try to document it in one of my Uly ride reports! I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible along the way! Safe riding everyone! |

Hey Vern, I will have to ask the family if the package arrived...but we still plan to head your way. I'll call in a couple weeks. Thanks Zac, I'm sure I will see you before I head out for my trip. |
