So I'm finally committing to upgrading my shock to a Works or Penske and I'm wonder if there is any real advantage to one length or the other, mounts, etc? My 2000 M2 has the factory 16.5 incher but if there is any advantage to the shorter shock then I would pick up a later mount. The aftermarket shocks are a BIG purchase so I want to get what works best. If no advantage then I'l order the longer version and not change my mount. I use my bike short, sporting rides and several day tours. No track time or cross country rides. I sometimes carry one of my kids on shorter rides. Thanks. |

I went with the longer 16.5" Works from Al @ American Sport Bike only because that's what I had on the bike... Its awesome! (Message edited by onebadx1 on May 01, 2011) |

I also have a 2000 M2,.when I bought my penske it was the short shock so a buddy who worked for a stealership traded me my mount for the old one, love my shock! I think your good either way! |
