>>>Does it have something to do with a certain amount needing to be built/"available for sale"? No. Those "how many must be built and sold" rules are long ago established and were printed many moons ago. Blake . . the melon noggin (who just happens to always foolishly arrive at these little chats with facts) posted it right here on Badweb. Buell has to meet the very same requirements as everyone else in the AMA. There is no, as you suggested, rewriting of the rule book that will be needed, requested or done. There was, as I said earlier (do you really read my posts . . . or just click on them, stuff the alcohol soaked steel wool down your britches and type?) a delay . . . . it'll be a brief one. Someday we'll look back and laugh at it with that old poopy face snaggle tooth Blake . . . what a doo-doo nose he is, eh? I used to call Steve Bechold names in 2nd grade . . . and I confess I'd forgotten how darn much fun life was before I grew up. Blake is a melon noggin!. . .him and those pesky facts of his . . just who does he think he is ? ? (Message edited by court on April 25, 2011) |

I'm amazed at the twists and turns my life has taken. If I could handle them as smoothly as my Buell handles mountain roads, I'd be mellower than the Deli Llama. (That's the animal tied up around back!) |

I keep forgetting to add the alcohol to my Buell-aid before I visit this site. The FACT remains that the 1190 is yet to be run in the AMA. Time will tell. But according to Mr. Buell, it won't be at Infineon. Hopefully R.A. The problem with Blake and Court is they can't see past their own egos. They can't seem to understand that you can be behind Erik Buell Racing 100%, yet still question things. They seem to think that if they post something, that everyone just has to accept it. I see that Erik Buell Racing must have 36 bikes built by June 1st. I question whether they will meet that deadline. Ebr is the only one that can answer that. I'm not questioning their desire to do so. It's just a hypothetical. What's the outcome if they don't? Just wondering. But I'm sure one of the two, if not both, will post some "facts" to tell anyone that questions Erik Buell Racing how ignorant they are. Same shit. Different day. |

>>> "I see that Erik Buell Racing must have 36 bikes built by June 1st." That would be in order to continue racing in the series after having started racing in the series at Daytona, the first even of the year. Not at all sure that applies for mid-season entries. Obviously Erik Buell Racing won't be contenting for the championship, the integrity of which the rule is intended to protect. Try sticking to the issues. Drifting into personal attack only reveals the weakness of an argument. Questioning is not what you were doing. You were asserting and prognosticating. The issue of whether 100 1190RS's will be sold has zero to do with my willingness to purchase one. The issue involves whether or not there are 100 people in the world who are willing to purchase one. Yet as was pointed out earlier, the bikes need not be sold; they only need be available for purchase. Your assertion that the 1190RS would need to have rules rewritten in order to participate is bizarre and unfounded and contrary to factual information. That's all. |

Is a Deli Lama good eating? The Dalai Lama is worth worshipping for some but if the Deli Lama is good to eat, maybe it's worth the reverence that I give a good piece of pizza! |

Blake - what did you not understand about my post? Its funny that no one else ever says things like 'please reword that cause I dont understand it' or 'translation please' except for you. But I guess it makes sense, not a lot of people on here who that they know all there is to know about Buell and everything else in the world. By the way - I've corrected you a few times, get off of your high horse |

America needs a good manufacturing success story about now . . The very sad truth is tht while we do, nobody wants to hear the story, or will believe it when it happens.. Everybody would rather say "the Germans build better cars, the Japanese build better bikes, blah de fracking blah! I think Mr. Buell is proving there is still a little good old fashioned American grit and pride left here in the go-ol US of A! so ya-all better wake up and listen, watch and learn! haha Oh and when WE are standing on the podium, I will be the one to say "told ya so" |

Owens, >>> Its true, if you think Erik Buell Racing is selling the bikes for the cost it is to produce them, then youre silly. I don't know what you are referring to with your first pronoun "its" [sic]. That said, I'd not be surprised if the first hundred bikes are a break-even or less type of proposition for Erik Buell Racing, especially considering all the non-recurring costs and capital investment required to get into production. But I really have no idea. I'm the only one on BadWeB who asks folks to clarify their comments? Really? Wow! I must be an idiot! Did a petty woman suffering PMS author the rest of your whiny post? Bizarre. |

"Wow! I must be an idiot! " Again, youre the only one I see questioning peoples posts on here when its so obvious what they are talking about. Hell, if thats your argument ("I don't know what you are referring to with your first pronoun "its" [sic]. ") then you should start questioning each and every one of Courts posts that say things like 'That is an accurate statement' or 'That is innaccurate' Because you dont know what he's referring to, right? But you dont, because as much as I hate to admit it you arent THAT big of an idiot, and you know what he's referring to. Just like everyone else on here. Its just you. Its just you being a jerk. Its just you that talks about 'name calling' etc when youre the first to call someone a troll 'Personal attacks' and such when youre so quick to label people and call them names. |

I stand by the accurate answer I previously provided.
- Erik Buell is well on the way to building the required bikes.
- Erik Buell will race
- Erik Buell has retained some AMAZING talent
- Erik Buell will win
- Erik Buell will change motorcycling in the next 3 years
I'd explain in detail (you'll be able to read an entire chapter about it in the next book) but am not up for another dose of being called a "pompous know it all". To quote a sage old fellow . . . ."just watch, you'll see". |

Posted this morning on Facebook: GEOFF MAY "Not long now, scheduled to ride the 1190 race bike and street bike at Road America Nesba May 8-9" And from Erik Buell Racing two days ago; they will not make the test session out here by me at Millers next Monday/Tuesday to my dismay and they said: Hi Robert, Erik Buell Racing wrote: "We will not be able to attend that test, unfortunately, but still working WFO to make the actual Miller event." We are on our way! Outstanding and let the naysayers go away and wish it weren't so. The future for EB"Racing" seems imminent now. Hoorah! |

In all candor . . . I hadn't even read your post and, specifically, no it was not in response to your post. I've pretty much stopped reading once the bullshit starts other than to clarify. All my statements regarding what is and is not accurate are nothing more than my PERSONAL OPINION. And, as I have stressed, I'm a construction worker and not terribly bright. On the bright side . . I am experienced enough, having run my own business for years and having spent about 15 years in the motorcycle business (as opposed to being a motorcycle rider) to see past some of the silly internet chatter that folks toss into the mix. The opinion of the angry, in my PERSONAL OPINION, is always called into question. Gotta run . . off to teach, Court |

NOTE: Be mindful that the "that's an accurate statement", much like some of my old "lean much, smile more" tag lines go back to 15 years before 95% of Badweb owned Buells and in many cases are pretty much tongue in cheek. Drag me, and I mean this . . into any and everything you want. When you get to be my age . . you'll understand. Almost nothing pisses me off and I take NOTHING on the internet as either personal or gospel. . . for all I know, in most cases . . I could be the victim of a vicious attack by a 7 year old at a laptop . . . truly doesn't move my mental meter.

Court, I tend to agree with most of what you have put, but the comment... Erik Buell will change motorcycling in the next 3 years Seems a little vague and ambitious to say the least. Erik is of course a very talented engineer but a lot of what he is doing now was done by Peter Williams at Norton in the 1970's and by others since then. The 1190 isn't ground breaking in terms of new technology or anything that will 'change motorcycling forever'. For that kind of technology you have to look at Vyrus and other innovators that are pushing to change the whole concept of motorcycle systems that we take for granted now. So long as you have a 'frame' and forks you aren't doing anything new. |
