In your price range you might get something 'fitted'. Vanson comes to mind. Get to Googleing! Dianese is Fab-o! (Debie's suit) I can now see why my siut (I think Mike got one also) cost so little, truley a case of you get what you pay for. Back to the Pack! sooner, Galen |

Last year Vanson had a booth at the Seattle motorcycle show. They where offering tailor fitting and free repairs too. This year, I'll be bringing my Vanson pants to have a little hole in the crotch repaired. Trouser snake tried to get loose one day, I guess. Things that make you go Hmmm! FunJimmy

I'm sorry, I wan't paying attention. What did Kim say she was doing with/without her pants? "my pants are so loose that I can pull them off without undoing them" Why would she want to do that? Holly came from Miami, FLA. And the colored girls go Do da do, ta do, do ta do, ta do, ta do... Take a walk on the wild side. Do ta do, ta do... edited by ray_maines on October 28, 2003 |

What to do? The Vanson two piece leathers are $834 (total) and the Dianese two piece leathers are $495. The Dianese has a Dianese logo clear down the leg though- although it is less expensive the style is less appealing. FunJimmy/Debi- do you know if at the motorcycle show in Seattle do they have womans Vanson riding gear there and available. I'm all about the instant gratification. Don't want to have to order it and then wait... no no no. I'm thinking this might be the best Christmas present I have had in..... well ever maybe? Oopsie forgot I got Cameron on Dec 17th a few years ago, that was a pretty cool Christmas present. Looking like my future might include some new black apparel- I better save those pennies. |

Kim talked to Mike last night. Congrats to code red. Stu congrats to you and yours. And Duane congrats to the sale of your BMW. The stable is now getting full.Kim leathers are available at the show and they have specials. Don't order until after show to get gear. House is happening and time is short. Bob is impatiently waiting for his lap top. And I have work todo so later. Also have to get new bars as mine are bent. Went for a ride to Lisa and Duanes new property. WONDERFUL is the word. No more drinking and riding home for them.Nic had the gambit of twisties and gravel and freeway time on her third ride out. The woman is still smiling and ready to ride. Great day was had by all. Kimberlie Can't say that I remember what Vanson had at the show, but there where lots of vendors with show specials. One criticism about Vanson pants is that the leather is very firm and (at least on my pants) bunches up behind the knee. I would prefer a 4 way stretch material at that location, like Joe Rocket uses. Later FunJimmy |

Kim: I thought you were joking about leather. quote:bunch a squids - damn I need to get me some leathers and cool boots!
Go ahead and get a pair of "cool" boots (two criteria (1) they fit your feet & (2) have lots of outside plastic armor), but I advise against leather. It's hot in the summer, cold in the winter, takes forever to break-in, can't be properly cleaned without spending a small fortune, smells bad when it's wet and takes days to dry. Nylon Cordura is less expensive, more comfortable, is washable, and DOES NOT melt when you (God forbid!) skid down the road. And besides that, it's the armor under the fabric that protects you in an impact type crash, not the fabric itself. You might be interested to know that Gerbing's offers to make a Cordura two piece suit just for you, complete with heated removable liners for about the cost of the Vanson two piece leathers. Check it out right here. |

I want to be able to do some track days next year at PIR and I guess I have to have leathers either a one piece or two pieces that zip together. So that is also something that I am considering. One of the adult racers from pocketbiking also imports riding boots from Germany, here is their website http://www.topgearmotorcycle.com/boots1.html I was interested in the GrandPrix or LeMans (they look like bad ass boots). My boots right now are leather and they don't stink. Do others find that to be a problem? I need something ultra comfortable and these seem to be. The guy who imports them wears them all weekend long at the track, one of the things I like about them is the safety and the fact that you can walk in them and not look like you are in pain. more research...... Deb- expand, how did your bars get bent? |

Kim: After re-reading my post from 8:53pm I realize I wasn't very clear. Sorry. Leather boots are a good thing. Leather riding outfits are not a good thing, IMHO. |

Ray, isn't that IMHHO? Hardly humble? Any way, Kim. Ray Ray is right about the heat problem with leather. I think leather smells fine, wet or dry...and there are ways to deal with the heat. I'm getting ready to be off line for a while. Don't really know for how long. I'm s'posed to be out of here by fri. night. I may be living in my work van for a while! The 'little house' isn't working out quite as hoped. No heat, moldy walls, ground into the rug doogie treats...I think I could deal withit , but I don't think my boy should have to. So he may have to stay with his mom for a while...just be thankfull for what we got.... hmmmm, Galen |

OK, here's the tour. We'll start outside... And then a peek at the fine paint job... Now a little look at what would have been Theryn's room... (extra points for correctly identifying the Dark Spots in the depressed rectangle) And last but certainly worst, the 'laundry room"... And the nutty owner wanted the same deposit as is on the place I'm leaving, $500!!!!! You can see why my work truck looks better! hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha, er, burp. love to all my friends, Galen |

Well Galen- I must say I think you made the right choice. Life is already bad enough right now without needing to live in the gutter too! Like I said there is and will be something better for you and Theran. Holy crap does the owner of that home not have any idea about what proper hygiene is? Or how about curb appeal? Not sure if they intend to attract a long term tenant with that set up. Hey at least it looks like they vacuumed the carpets for you though. See they have some priorities - bahhahahahahha |
