A friend lent me a Contour HD. It had no suction mount so I bolted a piece of angle to an old helmet and was rather impressed. Neat piece of gear. / Anyone with one of these figure out how to handle the wind noise? Can you put something over the mic hole? | ||

Mountainstrom - NICE. Are those roads in Virginia? They are so clean and well kept. I couldn't help but notice the double yellow lines were everywhere. Was there a posted speed limit? | ||

Thanks for the tip Vinb. The roads here in SW VA are generally in fair shape. Some counties and communities have more tax money to throw at improvements. Around Smith Mt Lake everything is "new" but as you go further into farm land and woods the roads are not always safe. There will oftentimes be gravel or dried mud from wash outs. And there are always the deer. On the backroads no ****s shall be given about passing on double yellow lines. Some old timers here drive 35 in a 55. It's America. You can assume there will be posted limits on every public road. | ||

Go into the camera setup menu of the software and turn the mic sensitivity down and the put a piece of electrical tape over the mic hole. Not perfect but it helps. | ||

i taped a little piece of sponge over my mic, but as the above, every little thing helps | ||

Yeah, talk about excessive use of double yellows! Not a whole lot in the way of decent corners on that road, though. | ||

Not much twistier but pretty to ride. I mounted the cam to the fairing and it makes a growly mechanical rattle at times. I fitted a baby sock over the cam for one test, but accidentally twisted the angle of the camera and all my beautiful riding time looks skewed  No sock on this one, just trying out the fairing mount. The helmet cam is a lot smoother, but you get to see more from the fairing cam |
