So after a decent ride when I park my bike I notice a hissing / bubbling sound coming from the motor some place? Possibly near the oil pump. I can't imagine his is normal? Any thoughts |

Open your fuel cap. |

Perhaps you got it mad. I suggest backing away from it quietly without making eye contact. |

Could be fuel cap, could also be the trans vent line - they can gargle a little when hot. |

Thanks fellas! I'm guessing the trans vent, I need to replace my crank shaft oil-seal. As the vent hose spews a bit on a ride. |

That's normal. All X1s do it. You can turn off the gargling "feature" using ECMspy if it bothers you too much... |

My sons bike, a 1996 Yamaha xj600's gas tank would sound like a Hoot Owl (who who) as it was cooling down in the cold garage. I actualy thought an owl was living in my roof over hangs! I died when I finaly realized it was his gas tank.............. |
