It has been posted on here before, but HD has had the rear exhaust mounts on backorder for months. Actually I was told by Al since August. I was wondering if anyone has found anything else that will work? I dont have ANYTHING now, and in need of something so I can mount the Force I just got. Thanks in advance for any help you can lend |

What exactly are you referring to as the rear exhaust mounts? The rubber grommets? The Z-bracket for later model tubers or the corresponding straps for earlier tubers? Or ??? Please give more detail and magic might happen, 1313 |

you sure they aren't already in the frame? I don't know how any exhaust would mount there if they aren't on the bike...I thought I needed em too but I took my V&H bracket off yesterday and there they were....they service manual is not very clear about how these mount, same with the instruction sheet for the retrofit front hanger that I just ordered from Al. I needed that and the z bracket for my new supertrapp if you truly don't have them I can provide some measurements for you and can point you in a direction to possibly find a suitable replacement.. |

The rubber grommets I know that I do not have any of that stuff now. I've bought a Z bracket and updated front mount, but its yet to come in, and the guy said that the isolators werent on it. Nien - was it difficult going to the updated front mount? This one I bought will come with no instructions, its used off of a 2001+ bike. Thanks for the replies dudes, I appreciate it |

I hope the guy you bought the mount from included the voltage regulator bracket. You'll need it. |

Is the Force you are installing like this? http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/21/ 621711.html?1301092028 If it is I don't think you use the "Z" bracket, you use the slotted plate to mount it with. And you will only need one exhaust mount also. I have one new mount left from the S2 rework this winter, PM me and I will mail it to you. When your new ones come in you can mail me one back. Let me know if you need it, Mike |

Hoot - yes, I got that as well. Big - Yes, my Force is like that...but didnt come with that slotted piece....dang. Which mount do you have a spare of? I feel this is getting much more difficult than I had originally predicted. |

The mount I have is the rubber one that goes into the engine case. http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-p rodshow/17071.html As far as the slotted plate, you can make one quite easily from 1"x1/4" strap. Mike |

Hybrid, I haven't switched them out yet, but you will need to unbolt the front of the shock to be able to replace the brackets...that's the only trouble I know of, there are a set of instructions around here somewhere of the new bracket install. let me search and i'll find em shortly Gray |

I did my best, but got outbid at the very end - it went for 28 bucks + 7 shipping, anyone on here win it? I very generous man sent me one grommet to use, in return I'll send him one back when I'm able to buy some from HD I am going to a local store tomorrow with the grommet, Im really curious if there is anything out there like it that can be bought and used. From HD/Buell its 9.50 for a pair, Im thinkng there may be a cheaper version from a hardward store. I'll report back tomorrow after I make a few stops and ask around |

Hybrid I recently installed the updated front exh mount. PM me if you still need the instructions - this will remind me to dig for them out in the garage, scan them and send them to you. I will not remember otherwise - Kilroy |

Don has none, I just called THanks for the heads up though BUT I've found two kits and ordered them - $6.50 per kit, but with shipping it ended up at the msrp. Don at Bloomington gave me a list of people to try Here is that list - 540-213-7433 - HighRoads HD in NJ 732-985-7546 - Kosco in NJ 973-838-8800 DONT use the new number, the one that starts with S Instead use the old number - 65882-96Y The place I got mine from a minute ago (sorry, they only had two kits, I got both) quit selling Buells long before the part number change, so they never got the new numbered kits. In turn, when dealers searched the new number, it didnt pull up USE THE OLD NUMBER, GOOD LUCK! 65882-96Y And Mike - You'll get your grommet back (well not THAT one, but a replacement) next week. Again, thank you! |
