Recently replaced the OEM windscreen with the smoke zero gravity, but when switching out the old I found the well nuts to be worn out and loose. Not looking to have the screen fly into my face at 80 mph. Looking around a little, and even calling Zero Gravity, I'm having a bit of trouble finding them. They said to call the dealer. Any known suppliers out there? thanks |

Sorry, I do not know where you can find them, but have a suggestion. There is a thread on here about that. a couple people have gone to an expansion nut system that allows you to take off the windshield without taking off the fly screen. It's something I plan to do my self at some point. Do a search, and I bet you find the thread |

That would be me. Now if I can only find the post. Just take your screen to the nearest hardware store to size the nuts. They are rubber with threaded brass inserts. I used stainless allen heads and some rubber and metal washers (rubber against the shield). A little soap on the nuts helps. Also, insert the bolt and use it to help pull the nut through the shield - it's tight. The little gray thingy in the middle of the upper screen is some adhesive foam to stablilize shield flex. You may want to add another, larger rubber washer to the shield - note the exposed area around the bolt/washer. |

Wellnuts on a Uly windscreen? They're used on firebolts and 1125s, but not Ulys. Do you mean the rubber bushings that the pins snap into? http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-p rodshow/17187.html Al |

Sure is nice to be able to just snap the screen off and on when cleaning. For just $7 + Shipping, you can't beat the stock system. Thanks Al! |

There was a recall for all the XT's back when. The pins are great for easy on off... but the taller screen comes flying off at speed! The XT's all had a nut and bolt set-up that required removing the flyscreen to remove the windsheild. Just the pins are only enough for the short sheild. |
