My girl lost 38.5 pounds over the winter! Ain't she purdy?
I added sliders and taylormades last year, so total shavings is more like 36. Still got to mount lowers, so not sure what the final will be.

You can barely see it, but there's a toggle switch just right of IC for main power. Kill and starter switches on right bar still work. |

is this the weight loss by numbers alone or did you actually weigh the bike. |

Loveda - I just put pieces and parts on a scale. The stuff I took off, the stuff I put on, then just came up with a net difference. I've never weighed the entire bike, so not sure where I actually started. The biggest single item is the exhaust, about a 12-13 lb difference (last year's tax refund) - but the other bits (passenger pegs, headlights, solenoid, mirrors, etc.) add up pretty quickly. No known virus on the spreadsheet, BTW, weight in grams. (Message edited by Stirz007 on April 07, 2011) |

Is that the shorter subframe from Erik Buell Racing? It looks like the stock but I haven't seen the Erik Buell Racing one on a bike. If you get that Nano battery that would drop a few pounds! Good numbers though, you ride it since the mod's? Does it feel different? |

I have the shorter subframe and it doesn't look like the one in the pics. I put a Speedcell battery in mine and lost 10 pounds. Now I would look at the battery that Erik Buell Racing offers. |

The subframe and battery are considerably lighter.

MrRick - still running stock subframe; first track day of the season was snowed out yesterday, so I'll have to wait until the 23rd. Lots of changes over the winter, so I'm sure I'll notice something (not sure what!). My upgrade budget is shot so the battery will have to wait until the stock one quits. Puzzled - thanks - 10 more lb! Open question - how have others handled the fluid reservoir and solenoid mounting - if you replace stock tray? (especially the solenoid). |
