I took my bike to Ebr so they could make me a custom drag race sidewinder. While the bike was there we decided to lighten the bike by using an 1190 rear tail section, lighter brake componets, race harness, carbon fiber front faring etc. They also made a new cnc bracket for my air shifter assembly and incorporated a pressure sensor to cut the spark direct through the race ecm. I'm very happy with the turnout of the bike we should be on the dyno next week sometime. The Ebr sidewinder is available, contact Ebr for details.

Man, I begged for that 1190 tail section on my build but it wasn't available yet. Might have to hit them up seeing this Of course, I wadded my bike in the first race of the season after that spiffy build. Go figure. I'd like to find another 10-20 lbs off the weight of these things. Wheels are probably next for me. I'm still running OEM bodywork, too, so that's a place to find a lb or two. You can save a pound or two with that Braking rotor and using the ZTL-1 caliper instead of ZTL-2 which is pretty heavy. You can save another little bit with Ti fasteners on the rotors, or by running a 16.5 front wheel. (Message edited by jdugger on April 06, 2011) |

Mike - sorry to briefly hijack... JD - How much do you figure you're down from stock weight? I finished my work over the winter and the girl lost about 38 lbs. I can give you close numbers for replacing stock fairing and tail if you're interested. resume thread - Mike, are you running stock engine? |

Oh man. That really gets my juices flowing. I love that airbox. The whole machine is mean looking. Fantastic work. Can't wait to see more. |

>JD - How much do you figure you're down from stock weight? 25-30 lbs tops. It's noticeable pushing the race bike around the garage vs. the stocker, but after battery, exhaust, wheels and bodywork, it starts getting really hard to find weight to shed. Where did you find 38lbs?!?!?! |

That airbox looks like something out of the Cthulhu Mythos... *shudders* Didn't Pegasus have a similar airbox? I recall someone having an 1125 airbox with the ram air ducting like that. I'm also guessing it's absolutely ungodly loud with that pipe. *grins* I certainly wouldn't want to line up next to something looking like that. It's a mix of futuristic and "ancient evil." Awesome. |

Last year the bike weighed 398 lbs with about 1 1/2 gallon of fuel. I haven't weighed it yet. There should be at least 25 lbs off the bike now not including the mag wheels on the way soon. The motor is stock, just running a buell race ecm and Ebr full system, xbrr ram air. We ran a 9.36 last year in the 1/4 mile. With the new ebr sidewinder pipe and weight savings we plan on running low low 9 high 8 |

Will that Sidewinder exhaust fit on bikes with stock swingarms? (has evil thoughts) |

Not yet soon. It's the loudest pipe I've ever heard on a gas bike. The megaphone is wide open. |

Dear Mike1125R Sir, I do not know you....but I hate you. Its not cause of any actions youve done. Its not because of any personal decisions you've made. No, nothing like that. My hatred stems from jealousy. I am so envious of you for this bike. As a fellow buell dragracer, I think this is the cats pajamas. Keep it up bro, this freaking rules! |

super nice... That Erik Buell Racing drag Tube is a great Addition. The header/pipe program we use came up with a tube as well for peek power, however I never made it. I bet it loud but fast as well. Congrats on the Mods... |

It's the loudest pipe I've ever heard on a gas bike. Is it louder than a destroyer I thought they were as loud as you could get with a 2 cylinder gas bike. |

Hell ya that tail is sweet. I think the airbox and tail are by far the best looking bits as far a bodywork. |
