-I have a 2009 CR that is black, I want to buy a whole set of plastics, new or in new condition w/out any damage or scratches(Front/rear fender, air box, scoops, tail section, windscreen, etc......). Would like to change the color of my bike to one of the other colors that were offered(RED or WHITE) and looking for a full set, but want to keep the ones that came w/the bike original. -Is there anyone that makes them? -Anyone knows if EBK has them? He use to have a Catalog online, but can't find it anymore and I dont remember if they were offered in it. -I looked on EBAY and thought of buying individuals ones and painting them, but most of them are scratched or thrashed. This bike is a 2009 and will 2008 plastics fit on it? | ||

It's Erik Buell Racing, and here is the catalog. http://www.EBRacing.com/shop/index.htm No full plastics on it, but you could contact them and see what they have for take-off items available. | ||

I think someone priced this out at full cost from a dealer and it was around $500 or $600, so that's always an option, too. | ||

Eric, we do not have these parts new. Best choice is to contact one of the good Buell dealers and order them. A suggestion to find such dealers is to go to one of the Buell owner forums, like badweatherbikers.com, and get phone numbers of dealers who sponsor that site. Really professionals @ Erik Buell Racing, super fast response. -So, what dealers support this site that can help me out? Or what GOOD DEALERS does anyone know that can solve my issue. -I know Dark Horse sells fiber glass body kit, but I really dont like the scoops that come with it. I contacted Twin Motorcycles, still waiting for a response. -I would prefer original Buell body plastic in Artic White as first choice and Red if I can not find the Artic White. I just plan on swapping out the plastics and having a different looking bike. | ||

Otto, send a PM to Tripp, he works at Precision HD in Rhode Island. He can get you all the parts brand new, and even get you a badweb discount. Be warned though, there may be extended lead times for some of the parts. | ||

I have a Red CR that I use for the track only and I want to change to black. Maybe we could swap some plastics . I have the airbox cover, front fender,tail section and cowl. All in great condition. If you're interested, let me know and I'll get you some pics. | ||

-Yeah, to give ya'll an idea of the HD dealer here in Tucson, I called them, too. They said they can still get the Plastics but they never came in White. Enough said!!! | ||

my "vote" here would be that you should call JOSH at Glendale H-D/Buell in Glendale, California. From the GM to the sales manager to Josh and others there, this is a Buell-friendly house and has been for a long time. Their main Buell Tech, Derek, is a smart, enthusiastic and careful mechanic. | ||

Nattyx1- Thanks I will give them a try. I tried the HD in Scottsdale and they dont even have any catalogs from Buell any more. They threw them out the day they shut the doors on Buell. I had some luck with Buell Parts, but it takes a week to get a response and not all the questions were answered, so now I am waiting another week for that to come back. |
