Was there ever an exhaust shootout for the tube framed models? I know American Sport Bike did one for the XB and 1125, didnt know if any such thing existed for the tubers Just curious which ones perform the best etc |

The D&D system is still available. Makes slightly more power than the Buell race exhaust. You'll need the Y front mount. It won't bolt up to the older style mount. |

Hey! Thats the Pipe I have! I always thought it was a home brew.... and i thought the KT system was the one that was like a pretzle/heart shaped header... Awesome. edit... now I see that what I thought it was, is actually the force Streetfighter pipe. (Message edited by foximus on March 22, 2011) |

That is the street version, the one I have. The race version has stepped head pipes. |

Well, the 'winner' might be different, depending on whether you're looking only for maximum horsepower, or a level of torque at a certain RPM. The SuperTrapp was highly rated as well, it's relatively available. |

OK, there where several exhaust comparison and feature articles published in Ballte2Win magazine over the few years that it was in print. They include the following: Pipe Dreams – Winter 1996 Staintune – Winter 1998 DynoScores – More Exhausting Tests – 1999 Exercizing Exhaust Zyztemz – 1999 Pipe Puzzle – 1999 A Force to Reckon With – 1999 DynoScores – Kooking up a Winner – 2000 I’ve scanned than all and posted them on PhotoBucket for you reading pleasure. Link: http://s243.photobucket.com/albums/ff229/FunJimmy/ Buell%20S1/Battle2Win/ Hope you enjoy them and find it helpful. Cheers FJ |

Fun Jimmy, THANK YOU! So cool to be able to read these. I've got a B2W with a review of the White Brothers pipe, but my scanner is not working. Software issues. |

Awesome to have so much info still around, even if some of the pipe-makers aren't. I don't look at the HP, nearly as close as the Torque lines. Right now, based on my JT&S dyno sheet, my stock header and muffler run slightly better torque that any of these. I don't feel so bad about putting the stock muffler back on. M2, I should mention. |

Jummy - THANK YOU! Excellent post! I have a Force now,and I was hoping there'd be some testing of a Force on a EFI bike. But very cool scans, glad to see someone take the time to do this sort of thing to pass on the info to other Buellers |

Hopefully some moer will step up and scan and post more documents like this. I dont think a desire for the tubers will ever die, adn knowledge will always be wanted by those late(r) to the game. New people are always buying, so its good that people like you are able to post stuff like this for the ones (like me) not around when these mags were originally out |

Jsunstar If you are serious about this, maybe I could scan alternate Battle2Win mags and together we will get through this a lot faster. Should we be concerned about copyright laws? |

i think if we noted when and who the magazine was published by, i dont see why it would be a problem, especially since battle2win went out of business. i remember i had a subscription when it went out of biz and i was offered my money back but i told him to just put it toward closing costs, etc. it was a great magazine. ill scan some issues in and get a list of what i have. ill post it to the old school forum... |

Maybe one of you should just shoot a PM to Blake and make sure it's okay, after all, this is his site and we wouldn't want to jeopardize the site by infringing on copyrights. I imagine you are probably right, since the mag is out of business, they may even be pleased that there is a desire to archive their data here. It would be nice to have it saved as a Quick Reference, or sticky in the Old School, but it should be in the KV also. Having those old mags, their reviews and all that info easily referenced here would be awesome! |
