K, it's late, I'm tired, I donated blood and my head is sore from trying to figure out why my CR pulled like a lame mule on a dyno today. Bike is due for new plugs (20000km) and sure it had fuel stabilizer in it and maybe the batt was weak but really? Would these things make that big a diff? barometer: 881 hpa Temp 22.2 according to my watch. Pull 1: 103.75 Pull 2: 103.77 Pull 3: 103.48 Correction factor: 1.13 Altitude: 1179m |

On what type dyno, they all read differently. |

Dyno probably measured in Kilowatt. Multiply by 1.36 If the bike feels really powerless while driving forget what Iīve written above. |

And also if you look at 1179 meters altitude that is 3867 feet above sea level, that will rob you of a lot of HP. And even more so if it is humid and hot. |

AFR's were spot on. Haven't ridden bike since new harness and stator were put in. Altitude should only affect things by 9-11%. But thats what correction factors are for right. Dyno jet dyno. No forward facing fans. (Message edited by kinder on April 01, 2011) |

I had my XB dynoed and it turned a very disappointing 79hp...a buddy video taped the pulls...the rear tire was not centered on the drum but on the front side, which cut the reading some....the video showed the tire was spinning enough to make smoke off the drum at higher rpm...may be what happened with your bike. |

It looked centered. Bike wasn't strapped down in rear though. Would that make a diff? |

Bike wasn't strapped down in rear though Any ideas why he didn't strap it down? When the operator was tying mine down i was almost scared he was going to snap the damn thing in half he was pulling so hard! |

Itīs a 1125, not a 160cui dragster. If You have a good dyno You donīt need to strap it down. If You strap it down heavily You will loose power by deformation work of the tire. |
