Shotgun, yes today is the day we are to go to PIR and watch Code Red. Sorry about the misunderstanding. If you want to drop by here and drool in the garage that is fine by me! Chris is thinking of going out to Canby with the small bike. He does not know yet. If you do decide to come by give me a call for directions! (360) 896-3167 You are all welcome. I am thinking of heading out to PIR (via car) around 11-12ish. Loni |

Spudman and I rode this morning. Not a drop of rain. Spud says the rest of y'all are fairweather pussies. Stopped at the gate to PIR but neither of us felt like paying $10 to say hi to Cody. So, Hi Cody. Great racing year little buddy. |

Lyle and I also rode this morning. We had a drop of rain. In fact, we had lots of drops. Lots and lots of drops! Many drops! More drops than you can count. Seven hundred and ninty seven gazillion drops. And that was before we got to Elby, where it started to rain. We were wearing our water proof First Gear outer clothing and our new Gerbing's electric underwear. We were warm and dry. YES! Speaking of wet weather: The roads were wet and slick! Moss on the sides of the roads. Uck! Ultra slick pavement. Uck! My (not so) new (any more) Metzler MZ-1 Sporteck tires were great. I installed these tires four months and 3,500 miles ago and haven't ridden in the rain sense. They look like they will last for about 10,000 miles and they stick much better than the BS-BT 020's that they replaced. All summer long I've known that the Sporteck's stick better on dry pavement than BS 010's. Today was the first day I've been able to know for sure they stick better on wet pavement too. I suppose some other tires would be even better, but I love these tires. All in all, Gerbing's is good! Metezler is (are) good! Life is good! God Bless Us All! RaY2K |

FunJimmy- Mike and Cody will be in Myrtle Beach South Carolina for the National Pocketbike Championship. Cody's bike was shipped back there last Thursday and should meet them when they get there on Friday. They fly out Friday, ride Saturday and Sunday and then come home on Monday. Should be interesting. It looks like there will be quite a few kids there, not sure exactly how many or age/skill level, it will be good for Cody to have the experience of another place, different track and different riders! We are so proud of him and all the kids who he got to race with this season. Kimberlie |

Yeah, so....like, I finally got me a motorcycle. I think (I know) I gave Debbie a slight heart attack my first time out. Picture this, we're in the alley, she's standing there being a coach, Coach tells me to "slowly" go down the alley and then come back. So what do I do? Because I feel the need for speed, I race down the alley (mind you, this is the first time not only on this bike but on anything past the 250 I rode in PS Safety School) so, I race down the alley, get to the end and think....well crap...how am I gunna turn this darn thing around in such a small space...enough thinkin....just do it... So, I hit the gas and start to turn and am heading straight towards a garage door going faster than I should be....I think OH CRAP, what to do, the bike is leaning, my foot is dragging cause I'm gunna go down and I'm going the wrong way, So, instinct tells me to turn my head to where I wanna go and hit the throttle...so that's what I did....I made the turn, the bike came up and I straightened right out. Nice eh? Meanwhile, Coach is at the other end waiving her arms and telling me to slow my ASS DOWN and to just settle. ha ha. Then around to the front of the house I went, coach wanted me to go back and forth, up and down the street for a few times which I did....but...um...b-o-r-i-n-g... so I coerced her into getting on her bike so she did and we went for a little ride and onto some busy streets in real traffic which made me much happier. Since then I've been out and about on my own a few times. Last Saturday I rode about 50 miles around town by myself which was fun. I haven't been on the freeway yet though, I'll wait for Coach to go with me! Oh, I bought Theresa's (Debbie's sister) bike. It's a 1985 VF500 Interceptor. It's a good bike and in great shape. Perfect for me to learn on! So, that's my story and I'm stickin to it! p.s. - oh....and thanks Coach you're a rock star!!!

great job, Kikola, and what a bike to learn on! (my "learner" bike was a Yamaha 80, wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy back when...) holy smokes, with Deb as your coach you'll be a better rider than most of the rest of us in no time. a word of warning: the first time you beat me in BattleTrax or ThunderCross i'm never talkin' to you again!!! (i only continue to talk to Bob on account of he's so cute and all...) seriously, great job, it's good to have another one of us among us Ferris and Denise |

Kikola, killer instincts girl! Ferris, I too started with a Yammi 80!? I'll see if I can find the pic... I'm putting all my mental juju into Black Betty to rise once more and strike fear into the hearts of cages. She's a Dire Buell to be sure, but I still think I can tame her. Or she me. Mike and Cody leave for South Carolina Friday morning for the Pocketbike East Coast National Race in Myrtle Beach. They will get there late Friday and then Mike will have to re-assemble Cody's bike with minimal tools and then Cody will practice Saturday and race on Sunday. He will be riding with much older kids who appear to have been riding longer? Not sure of the skill level, but looks like Cody will have a good time and gain some good experience from the whole thing. The kids seem to be anywhere from 7-11 and then on up. One of the Dad's has offered space for Cody and Mike to pit with them - so nice! Please say a little prayer that the experience will be positive for him and Dad- (everything from the long flight to new people/place and new track). Go little man. Kimberlie |
