One quick question - do Ulys fire right up when it's cold out (in the 20's), or do the need some encouragement? Some do some don't. Mine doesn't. I have to barely crack the throttle to get it to fire. I mean barely too. Too much and she'll backfire like a 12 gauge shotgun!! |

Here's the dealer's pic of it - 9,445 miles on the clock
The reason I asked about how they start in cold weather is because the dealer had to give it a little throttle until it warmed up a little. It had been sitting in their unheated storage area all winter though. -J5 |

Anybody know where I can find a PDF of the 2006 owners manual? -J5 Purchase the owners manual hardcopy and make one for yourself. Anything else would be illegal, theft. Uncool. Blake (Message edited by Blake on March 27, 2011) |

Erik Buell Racing RACE ECM. Battery tender all the time. Perma Grin should come with it. |

Long warm up is normal until one switches to race ecm or remaps the stock ecm. |

Sorry about that Blake, I wasn't trying to do anything illegal - I just remember downloading one for my Blast for free from the Buell site that is no longer up and recalled seeing the Ulysses one there as well. Guess I should have downloaded them all when Buell was offering them. -J5 |

I'm pretty sure that the owner's manuals are listed at the top of the Big Bad & Dirty section. |

Yeah, they take you to the old Buell site that HD has replaced with theirs. I'll probably end up buying an owners manual and the service manual anyway - just thought it would be nice to have the PDF of the owners manual on my iPod for easy access - oh well. J5 |

Definately want to get yourself a Service Manual! You might be able to find one on ebay. Some dealers have them sitting around as well. wouldn't be surprised if Froggy has one on pdf..... So tell us: Whad'ya pay for it? The 77 connector upgrade you'll want to do first if it hasn't already been done. Welcome to the Maddness! |
