To throw in my two cents, as far as the clutch leak issues go, in my case I had a bearing that was not seated properly, I was literally blowing the seals within 60mi of the repair work being done. 1200mi later after they dug in further (this was all under warranty) I'm still dry. Mine was in many times for the leak. I rather blame myself for the shortage of slave piston parts given how often it was in : )

May consider digging deeper. I don't know anything beyond that though, I'm not mechanically inclined enough to know what bearing where, other than it was screwing with the piston and was the definite cause of my recurring leak.

As a side note don't use UPS or FEDEX for overseas shipping, the price is always painful! Post office works great and you can track it.

PM, thanks for that, sorry to be a nuisance. Don't worry about packaging too well, the cover is going to be cut and welded, so as long as it's fairly round, that's ok

Took the bike out again this afternoon with very little fluid in the M/C. I only rode 2.2 miles before the clutch lost pressure again. Don't think it's anything to do with the fluid level. Had to go home and get out my X1 to go for a ride

Crowley, If you'll post, email, or PM me your full address, I'll get the cover in the mail. I took it to my local post office, and was told it would be less than 20 dollars to mail it to you. I'm sure that's a go! I've never received a paypal payment, but I'm sure I can figure it out. All I ask for is the cost of postage.

Thanks,
Pat Jolly

Bump. Crowley, I'm carrying the cover around in my truck on the front seat. I don't know your address.

Pat, hold fire for a moment. I had a moment of clarity while lying awake thinking about the conversion the other night. I've actually made a cover that fits over the clutch with a pivoting lever that connects with the 10x1mm threaded end of the release pin. With more time at the weekend, I'll make a cable, and the associated mounts and see if my idea works. It ain't going to be pretty though
Many, many thanks for your VERY kind offer though, it's much appreciated. If my MK1 idea doesn't work out, I'll be back in touch. Sorry to have messed you about.

It's no problem Crowley. I'll throw the cover back on the shelf.

Thanks Pat, I've just been out to my playpen and got the lever working, so all I have to do now is make up a clutch cable and look through my bin for a lever and suitable mount. I've a feeling that the clutch pull is going to be a little bit high for the lever throw. Early days yet though - and it won't be the first of my 'good ideas' that doesn't work
Desperate to have it on the road for the good weather though.

Crowley - If your 1125R is off the road it wasn't you I saw riding around North Wales last Saturday morning local to Corwen then, I was on my 1125R going and a black one went the other way?

When you get the cable conversion finished I wouldn't mind having a look at how you sorted this out if this would be ok.

Sorry John, wasn't me, although that is my local stamping ground. No problem checking it out - been having an interesting chat with Blackrag re. Oberon and what they're up to.

Got it working in prototype version but will need to be remade when I get hold of some 10mm dural plate instead of the 6mm I've currently used.
The final version will look a bit neater.
