My rear turn signals do not work on the 1125R but the fronts do, although they blink at a much faster rate than I think should be normal. I've pulled the rear plastics off, checked the connections and they were fine. The fuse is fine and the rear brake light works fine as well. Any idea on where to go next?

There are a few guys on the forum, including myself, that have had rear turn signal failures. If you have juice at the connectors, than you need to replace the lights themselves.

Get the LED ones replaced with bulb units from the 2010 models.

I gave up counting the number of times I lost a rear LED turn signal on my 2008 R, since replacing them with bulb ones I've had no more problems.

Get them replaced under warranty, the new ones do not fail.

What Froggy is hinting at is that the original rear blinkers were defective, and tended to burn out quickly (my own lasted about 3-5K each, if I recall). They were replaced with an upgraded part, which (at least if the bike is still under warranty, and possibly regardless) will be free.

The faster blinking is, of course, due to the burned-out lights --- the same thing happens on cars too. It will go away when you have a working load in the circuit.

Thanks guys, I was wondering why all of a sudden they no longer worked. Last question, I have a Erik Buell Racing race ECM installed, will the dealer balk at doing this warranty work if they detect the ECM? I also have the factory ECM and can put it back on easily.

Do yourself a favor and put in the stock ECM. I would be more worried about them flashing the Erik Buell Racing ECM than denying a blinker warranty claim.

If you're interested I have a set of sealed 1125 rear blinkers (inside housing only) that have been redone by XBLIGHTS with red LEDs I need to get rid of....

Just buy some aftermarket ones, they are cheap and better looking. Taking a motorcycle to the dealer for a rear turn signal is not worth my trouble. Maybe I would for the front, but I removed my mirrors because they are ugly as sin.
