Cj, You are welcome! It was great riding with ya'll today! Sorry I had to bug out on you. I am feeling better now. So, hopefully I will make it to work tomorrow. I can't afford to get sick! Thanks to Ugriz and Bmule for leading the ride. The ride was fantastic. Those hills were awesome! It has been a great weekend hanging out with you all! yellow |

CJ, you know me. I almost never take anything on these boards too seriously. I use the idle time to bs, rattle a few cages & make the night go by. If anyone takes anything here super seriously..other than my rants about Ukes...well chill out. |

Greg, sorry no one replied to your concerns about Uke's Club participation for the 20th. By far, Dana was THE MAN! But there were others who helped - they were thanked at the meetings, but perhaps we should have mentioned them here: Jason and Heather took the job of Elves' T-shirt sales at the banquet, several club members helped Uke's do security and other menial tasks at the store several times throughout the week, Jason and I volunteered our time/efforts to provide music for the Battletrax, most of the members helped set up, run, and take down the B-trax, serve food, set up and take down barricades and tables, several of us camped outside the hotel to welcome the visiting Buellers, we rode around with them and tried to show them a good time. (And then there was the unbearable task of drinking with the visitors at The Boiler Room.) And perhaps the most important thing we could have done was to attend! After all, the event was a success because we all cared enough to show up. Certainly, there were more "behind-the-scenes" efforts than that, but overall I'm very proud of the efforts of our membership during the 20th. Also, we all thank you for your efforts as well. I'm sure we all could have done more, but with the 100th hovering over us, we did our best. |

You guys got home awful early. No need to tell me that the meals were supersized...thats already well known But the real question is, did they have smores there? newfie..be glad too, but I think 2000+ miles might be a tad bit far. I dont mind riding 1100 miles to the East coast for a burger but thats about my limit. |

1100miles is about 1800km which will put you about in the middle of Ontario. Thats not bad - meet halfway - there is a food chain in Quebec that serves the best Poutine anywhere. Thats a trip for next June!!! |

yikes . . . . .. . after reading the last week or so worth of posts, I think I'm gonna load up the Ma Deuece and head back to the Gap . . . . not one argument all week . . . .\ glad the party was a sucess, glad some of you guys went riding yesterday (my wife and I got out for about 5 hours or so), and glad some folks have (for the time being anyways) stopped lobbing grenades at each other . . .. . |

Welcome back Bomber. How was the Gap? Assuming nobody fell down and went boom, I'd have to think it was a good time. Yesterday was a good ride (even though me and the soon to be Mrs. had to duck out a little early but we still got a good 4 hours in). Today is supposed to be great weather so I'm just sitting here at work steaming at the fact that by the time I get out of here, I'll have missed all or at least most of it. On a side note, thanks to all for the many congratulations. <Please forgive this brief sappy moment> I'm a very lucky guy to have found someone who not only enjoys so many of the things that I do, but is able/willing to put up with me as well. She's everything I've ever wanted and more and I couldn't be happier. <End sappy moment> |

the gap was great, thanks . .. no get-offs on our part, but a couple on the Gap itself and one on the Cheraholla (sp?) . . .. found some great roads I didn't know about before . . . .. goot riding, good companionship, all you could hope for in a scooter adventure . . .. let me repeat my congratulations to both you and Heather .. . the luck runs both ways, for both you and Heather, brother . . . being able to ride with your spouse is a huge gift! |
