replacing bearings in rear on my X1. What is the difference between the bearings for the cast and aluminum? I see 2 different prices and part numbers through American sportbike. The HD dealer says they are the same. I don't trust them... So whats the difference? |

I'm not sure what the actual difference is between the bearings, but I'm pretty sure my parts book indicates different part numbers for the PM wheels versus the cast wheels. I don't have it here with me to verify, but I think HD is blowing smoke... You'd be better off buying the bearings from American Sportbike, as I believe Al only buys USA or Japanese made bearings. In my opinion, bearings made anywhere else are questionable at best. (Keep in mind the OEM bearings were made in Turkey or somewhere similar). |

The 6205 is 15mm wide and the 62205 is 18mm. Ad RS to the above numbers. |
