Ok... here is the sh*t... Charleston is a national treasure. I didn't even have a sliver of a clue about it, but had wandered into the historic district, which in most towns consists of a handfull of buildings. So, I paid an arm and a leg to stay in a hotel downtown, and decided to walk around and check things out. What follows are photos I took. I should have been an architect... or I should have been a historian... or maybe I have should have been a female pirate... Charleston used to have those too! Anyone who knows more about any of the buildings or The Old Exchange and Provost Dungeon chime in. This town is a real treat! I will now be looking for work in the Charleston area, sincerely. Go Piglet Go !!! |

Winter ferry schedule and fare required from Cedar Island to Ocracoke. Used to be simple. Maybe Duke Marine Lab by Beaufort will let a lowly alumni camp on the quad... not holding my breath tho. |

The KOA is wide open,no shade,no wind protection. You might need a LITTLE protection from wind here in March.Oh and the bugs are few & far between right now! |

I had a yo-yo Buell as well, but I got better! - lol - no biggies there - a little scotchbrite on the header to blend in some of those scratches, a new lever (sooner or later) - good to go! Go Char, Go! EZ |

Cut that brake lever ball about a half inch up the stem and drill a hole in the stem. Makes a great key fob. Have a "Sportster fob" as a reminder for over 30 years..... (Message edited by just_ziptab on March 17, 2011) |

Now's a good time to consider some header tape/wrap... Damn messy, but almost easy to DIY. |

Yesterday I toured the USS North Carolina. This was particularly emotional for me as my grandfather was a Marine who drove an amphibian onto Iwo Jima and Peluilui, and this ship was there to protect him. Gorgeous ship. I love my country !!! |
