Is the cam positioning sensor the same from 96-02 Buell's like some sights advertise? If so is there a difference from the carb models to the fuel injected model's? Also a another dumb ? I am familiar with X1's but the M2's are all carburerated correct? If the cam positioning sensor is the same is there a difference in the Timing sensor or "rotor cup" whatever you call it? for the fuel injected bikes? Not to be a d**k but if you don't know keep your half thought out dim witted answer to yourself. Please give me good information from facts not what Bob told you at the bar I have come to realize that you can receive just as much bad info as good on here. |

I'm not sure if the CPS is different?,but the rotor cup is different. If you search carb conversion theres a thread on here somewhere showing the different rotors.Theres an extra cut out for FI bikes. |

Sensor is the same, cup is different because EFI has to know which is #1 cylinder and which is #2 (for injector pulse). |

Ok, thanks... Knew all X1's were EFI that's all I ever messed with but recently acquired a bike that has a mixture of bikes that someone was trying to make work. I guess they firgured if they threw enough sh** at it something would stick and I ended up getting the bike for a few hours of labor fixing another one of there bikes. |

All carbed cups are the same. S1, S2 and M2. First year of S3 too if memory serves. The FI bike cups as mentioned above are different. If you carb a fuelie bike and don't change the cup, it will run but VERY poorly. If you hold them side by side you can see a big difference. |

OLD SCHOOL HINT: Always mark the parts so that you can put them back together on reassembly and the timing will be such as it will start ... |
