Noticed a weird sound when I am slowing down, noticed a few teeth missing out of my belt. Can I order this from my local Harley dealership or will I need to find an alternate means of getting one, also roughly how much is this gonna run me? Thanks from a new bueller |

Good place as any to chime in with a question: Do XB belts work on tubers? |

And if you're going to do XB, use the latest Ulysses belt. Long wheelbase/long swingarm, so you get some more belt (remember - "scary-loose"), and the Uly is the heaviest of the XB's (and most likely to snap a belt - DAMHIK). The revisions on a Uly have gone from .1AK, to .1AKA, to .1AKB...all the way to .1AKF. Question, though - there are different tooth pitches for XB. '03-earlier, and '04-up. The Uly uses the '04-up...which matches a tuber, early teeth or late? |

'04-up. And as mentioned, the Uly belt is the way to go. IIRC, it has 7 more teeth (135 vs. 128) which will give you roughly 2" of wheelbase. Actually you may want to check if you have room for it or not. I definitely would have if I still had my bike because it had XB wheels and 65 tooth pulley instead of the stock 61. |

OOH - what was the OEM application for the 65 pulley? I've been thinking about bumping the revs a bit on my S2...or was it just a stock XB pulley on the XB wheel? |

mine was just a stock XB pulley on an XB wheel. The XB's shorter wheelbase allowed it to use a 128 tooth belt with the 65 tooth rear pulley. My wheel was pushed all the way to the front of the adjusters to fit the belt o there, and if the XB pulley had an outer guard the way the Tuber pulley does it wouldn't have fit. However it doesn't so I was able to slide it on. On my next build though I'll use a 135 tooth belt from the long wheelbase XB, and a ZTL2 caliper . |
