Has anyone mounted the FBW lowers? They do not attach to the uppers, so finding good mounting points has been a challenge - I will post photos later tonight - Thanks | ||

Any Ideas? lowers do not mount to uppers, so the mounting points are limited. Thanks  the fairing:  and the tail seem to be no problem.  But the end result should be something like this:  | ||

I hate that no one has answered you. I have the factory lowers, so I'm not going to be much help. If it were me, I would just start fabricating whatever it takes. I don't know what else to tell you. Good luck with your project. | ||

I have no first had experience... But I do remember another member mounting the lowers to the lower radiator mounts via some aluminum angle. He drilled holes in the angle to mount it up to the two bottom pod mounting bolts. This allow a flat surface to mount the race lower to. Not sure if that helps your application, but just thought I would throw it out there. | ||

Thanks guys. I did contact FBW for some 'guidance' as to the mounting points they suggest. They told me I'd need to fabricate L-brackets and they sent the bottom photo. I had pretty much figured that out, so FBW wasn't a whole lot of help. I figure the most likely moutning points are the K-brackets - extend the lower 'inner pod to K-bracket' bolts through the bracket, attach struts there and nut them off. The other likely mounting point is atop the oil oooler. I did not use the FBW pod covers, because there was just too much modding required to get a good fit to the pod inners and I just don't feel inclined at the moment to fight them. Now someone is posting a Flexi lowers group buy. I know these mount up and also solve the pod problem. I may just pick them up, offer a good deal on the FBW lowers/pods/and headlight fillers and call it a day.
