Well, after the 2nd clutch leak I started riding my 2000 aprilia pegaso. It's a great bike, 650cc single that pumps out 50hp and is around 400lbs. for a dual sport its great street bike with some ability in the dirt. Love the bike. I think this is what Buell should have done with the Blast. After a few months it seems I have forgotten how much power the Buell has. I got the Buell back 2 weeks ago, but wanted to take the experienced rider course on the aprilia so just started riding it again. Pulling out of my neighborhood I had the biggest moment I think ive ever had on a bike (at least caused by me). After a few months of the aprilia I got accustomed to the throttle and clutch action of a heavy low powered bike. SO I let off the clutch too fast while twisting the throttle too much and the result was the sudden urge to crap my paints. The rear tire broke free which probably saved me from pulling the front wheel up. After a few moments of fish tailing next to the highway I figured out I need to go a little easier on the throttle and let out the clutch a little slower.... I also learned 150hp is more than ill ever need in a street bike. Custodial note: If the BadWeB profanity filter dings one of your words, do not creatively edit to defeat it. The acronym form of "oh em eff gee" which you apparently felt just had to be included in your post is incredibly vulgar and offensive to some, those of us who believe in and revere god for instance. Please do not employ it again on BadWeB. Thank you for understanding, Blake (Message edited by Blake on March 10, 2011) |

Gbaz, I'll bite how do you have 150hp? What mods have you done? Glad you stayed on it. Scott |

> I'll bite how do you have 150hp? I'll bet he doesn't. That said, I know you can get 150 RWHP out of these bikes with decked heads, cam timing, map, good gas and a full race exhaust system. |

My Assumption would be that he is referring to the advertised hp (146) and then rounding up. My math teacher always said "If the last number is greater than 5, you round up". thats my 2 cents worth. |

Maybe he is just saying he doesn't need more horsepower than the Buell has. He never said he HAD 150 hp. |

Dude, I got these kick ass ceramik coated headers with a carbon fiber body panel and exhaust turnouts!!! they had to have added 10hp easy at the rear wheel!!! I don’t got a dyno but I tuned em with my ass while praying and rubbin the ecm!!! but really... I posted a funny story, mentioned 150hp without ever saying the bike had 150hp. Please reread the end of the original post if that really got your panties in a bunch. Buell lists 146hp and I will feel free to round to 150 if I so desire. So, here it goes!!! I claim my bike has 150 rounded hp!!! If you don’t believe me feel free to come dyno it... |

Dyno is insufficient. I demand that I be allowed to ride it. |

So does that mean I can say my bike has 200 hp. They are just smaller horses? |

rounding rules would make your bike 100hp if rounded to the nearest hundred. if you use 146 as the starting point anyway. |

I just prefer to use the WOW meter. and i must say my WOW meter, has had to be replaced twice since owning the Cr, I have blown the dial out of 2 of them, it starts spinning uncontrollably, and before i can pull myself to back out of the throttle the Flux spring on the inside just desinegrates. Doesn't matter how you measure it , as long as your happy with it and want to keep riding. |

Louisiana; that would be 7300SP at least! Blake; I get similar feeling every year on my first ride. I forget that no matter how quick I've gotten the car the bike is still quicker. Its a great feeling! (Message edited by kinder on March 10, 2011) |

In the world of absolute your right, you did not directly say just implied it. I was hoping to learn how to get to 150 HP. Guess I will stick with what I got Scott |

I can attest that my bike puts down 150 Mules. Some of them are stubborn and won't do anything. But at least 130 do. Inadvertent power slides will give you religion...if Blake doesn't first. I prefer to use the Pucker Meter to gauge those events. Range is from "could open a beer bottle" to "bulls-eye" also known as "my pucker strong done broke." |

He never said he had 150 HP, only that he didn't need it! Sometimes implying something is even better than saying it...... |
