Here's some pictures of a pair of low mileage Buells that were for sale at a local dealer. Both bikes are going to Badweb'rs The '95 S2 has 239 miles, the '96 S1 has 80 miles. Pics here |

Dana: Those are original rear shocks,WhitePower they where recalled. But in my opinion are better than replacements.

The original WP shock. The struts would break if not tightened precisely the same on both sides when setting pre-load. They were recalled. I don't recall if those had eyelet problems. That S1 is nice. Mine looked exactly like that when I got it, except for the recalls having been done...and bubbled tank decals. The S2 could use the swingarm recall. The newer style looks a lot better, and has a lot of bracing in the center that the original lacks. That's a hell of a score. |

I really like the billet caliper on the S2. The later cast calipers left a lot to be desired cosmetically. Those OEM wheel bearings (apparently a long Buell tradition) are shite. |

you left me speechless with the bikes you bought! bone stock and with basically no mileage... please tell me you won't use them and will keep them just for collection! |

The S1 will not be used. I can't wait to get it next week. I am not sure about the S2. |

The S2 will be picked up next week as well. May have it on display at a local watering hole for a while but most likely will see limited road use. Still a little on the fence on this, but Erik did build them to ride. I do know what type of rare find this is. |

I got the S1W, not perfect but pretty nice. It has over 21K miles on it, of which I put over 17K on myself. |

Rkc, you've got a gem of a collection shaping up...Especially this latest acquisition is simply priceless. Even your Harley is the only Harley I ever lust after... I'd love to drop by and see this beauty when I'm in the 'Island visiting friends. |

I am green with envy. What a score. It would be really hard for me to just park either of those bikes since I will be dead before they are super valuable. If you are going to ride the s2- you should add the inner fender wear guard, it is self adhesive and will not hurt the inner fender, but without it the inner fender will soon be scuffed badly by the frame. http://is.gd/sibybX |

Kalali Just let me know when you are around. I know where there is one more 96 S1 untitled and unridden. It is black/black. It has some of the recalls done on it. It also has the PM wheels. It has 15 years of dust on it and the guy want's over $7000 for it. It was on my list but now I will look for a 98 S1W. I will have to sell the 1125CR soon to make room for the tubers. The Red 96 is going to stay as is for as long as I am alive. I will hope the my son will keep it that way also. The 1125R would be the next to go if I needed to make room or needed money for life. |

"but that first rock chip is gonna hurt."That's when you throw yourself over the bars and in front of the bike to deflect the oncoming rock. Butch's video is a good example of the maneuver. |
