Al and Tom arrive! Garage view. 'You forgot to mention the 40% grade driveway!' Time for a Beer! Prep them Buells!

EBear, thank you for the kind words (and for finally getting off your keister and gettin' some pix up!!!) i said this many times during Oktoberfast, and it's true: Denise makes me wayyyy better than i am. imagine working your ass off on a deal like this, knowing the whole time that everybody is riding but YOU, yet still being in good spirits at that reality and continually bustin' your hump to make sure everyone has what they need, all the while with a hug and a smile just waiting to warm your heart and soul. this is just a small measure of who and what she is, and it woulda been tough to pull this off without her unflagging support, dedication, friendship, devotion, and companionship. ok, now that i've gone all Hallmark here.......let's pick on Mr. Page for his, um, er, interesting choice of cornering line above, shall we??? hey! all of you that haven't hung pix yet (Arlene, Dino, etc.), how 'bout it??? Ferris- I will try to post some pix soon. But first I would like to thank You and Denise for such an awesome time. I really enjoyed all the great roads around Lake Isabella area. The mighty 190 and hwy 155 (aka Ben Bostrom hwy) are to cool. I was amazed at all the great people who attended. Everyone was just so nice and alot of fun to be around. It's one thing to have great roads to ride on. It's another to the right group of people to enjoy them with. I look forward to next years Okterfast. Thanks to EBear and Dino for being my wing man. |

Dang, those are cool pix Ebear. I wish I coulda been there Saturday. Celestial events, the full moon and sudden warm weather that weekend, reinforced the notion that something special was going on and I needed to be there. Well, I was nursing an injured eye and Jen was uncertain as to when she would have to join the supermarket strike, so she said I could go if I wanted to. "If I wanted to?..." I had hoisted a couple cold ones for the OktoberFAST gathering, so I was already there, just not physically yet. I thought it best if I wait for the morning, see how the eye feels, and make a day ride out of it. It was a fun day indeed, but was kinda bummed because for the 3rd attempt, Jen & I missed out on riding the Western Divide Hwy. Oh well, the newspaper is predicting a warm winter, so there's always next time, right Ferris? Thanks, Ebear, for the idea and Ferris & Denise for the hospitality, and the Bueller, Beemer n' Busa riders for the camaraderie. I had a great time on the 178, 155 & Lion's Trail that day. Fabulous roads. Cool event. Hey, somebody tell Peggy in BRAG that there is an area in the Southwest that will absolutely put the Arizona Torque-Fest in perspective. She'll be blown away when she sees the scenery & all the great roads for herself. |

Well, I downloaded some program that this website recommended to supposedly shrink my 2.0 shots...I download, I optimize the whole damn folder, and I still can't up load a damn photo. For 3 YEARS I have tried to upload one photo...just one. So, I will continue to enjoy my photos, and you can't see them. They are really nice, really. |

Scott, Please email me one of your photos and I will attempt to post it on Badweb as a test. <treiner@adelphia.net> What Browser do you use? Lighton said that an earlier version of Netscape was incompatible with uploading pix on Badweb. Try IE or the latest Netscape or Mozilla if you still have problems. Ferris-Jardine call me on friday they said the XB12R is ready. What they found out was as much as 6 1/2 hp gain in some area's of the rpm range. The Jardine pipe made just under 92 hp at the rear. I get to pick the bike up Monday along with the before and after dyno sheets.

Meeting at the Cowpies. This is a test picture from Scott Page. I had no problema tweakin' this file to upload. Hey buddy, its probably one of two things. The jpeg that you sent me was huge! 575K. You gotta compress it to 50K. Or maybe you are using an old version of Netscape browser. Now you gotta give it a try cuz this photo is great and we all wanna see more. edited by reindog on October 19, 2003 |

these are the long lost OktoberFAST photos discovered only today in my camera after I returned from the Miramar Air Show. Ferris, Al_Lighton, Forger, and Ebear negotiate a decreasing radius turn. The crack Wofford Heights Squadron make a beeline to the Package Store before closing time. Coming back from the Package Store. Ferris lowered the boom on us. Lighton really did work wonders on his Nuclear Blue S1. Sparky caught up with us the next day in his XBR9 tricked out to look like an F-117. edited by reindog on October 19, 2003 |
