Below that ill-written article are a bunch ill-informed posters. It just goes to show the effect of the cloak that Buell existed under at H-D. It's just a matter of time before people see what he has always been capable of!

It's pirate hell, I mean Bike Week, here in the 'greater Daytona area' and I while I was eating lunch in my quiet little mainstreet hamlet, (rode the Uly) had a 'pirate' guy seek me out in the restaurant to tell me "I rode one of the first Buells back when they first came out and what a POS that was! I can't imagine they've gotten any better with time or money. That was a road Harley should have never gone down." I looked up from my meal and smiled and said "you'd have a hard time imagining much of anything with the blood flow to your head cut off by the constriction of your rectum around your throat." Seriously, I guess I should stop being so amazed by how little it takes to hatch a half-baked opinion. I mean, look how little it took for his mother to hatch him? Not much more than a little sweat equity and a $20 bill exchanging hands and 'viola', we all get to suffer! Most days, I enjoy the people that seek you out to ask questions and discuss the bike and brand, and I always speak highly of both. Other days, its just hemorrhoids hand hand grenades that find you for riding something other than one more barcolounger. I'm done and I feel better now, thanks. |

Good one Jake. You should of asked him if he heard that Harleys are going to be made in China, next year. Just to rile him up! Jackaaaaaaazz! |

I was in a biker bar, (because the bar maid was an old friend), when in walked this dude that blocked the sunlight from entering the door! He asked, "Who owns that red bike out there?" The bar maid points at me. Some friend! I started looking for the biggest chair I could find and he looks at me and says, " What the F**K is that man?" I told him it was an Italian Sportster. I was on a Cagiva Gran Canyon. I then explained that it was a cousin of the old Aermacchi's that use to make the Italian Harley's. He say's, "It looks like a praying mantis!" I just laughed and said "Yes it does." |

From the article: "Other important differences from the 1125R and Barracuda are indents on the frame (which, like other Buell frames holds the oil and fuel) to allow the use of clip-ons" Oil in the frame? Is the author just full of it, or have I missed something? |

Hootowl, the XB's use the swingarm as a reservoir for the engine oil. Must be what the author was referring to. As you probably know, the 1125 does not use the swingarm for oil. |

He specifically said the 1125R and the Barracuda, and frame, not XB and swingarm. I suspect the author only has a passing familiarity with Buell, or he completely brain farted. The only Buell that ever carried oil in the frame was the Blast! (! part of bike name, I'm not yelling ) |

Yes, I know but I was just wondering if maybe he was loosely considering the swingarm to be part of the frame? Thanks. |
