Hey guys I have a guy telling me that the VR 1000 was developed with Porsche???? I knew the V Rod was but was the VR? I looked a bit on line and found it (V-Rod) was based on the VR but I need to know!!! |

The ENGINE was developed with Porsche. Harley had a relationship with them dating back to the V-4 Nova project that died stillborn. |

The VR was not done by Porsche. The V-Rod engine actually initiated with Porsche as a Buell engine called the Revolution program, based on concepts from the VR (basically that it was 60 degree water cooled and four valve). But it had no parts in common then, nor any when it launched as the much-changed H-D version of the Revolution engine. |
