Allways remember to remove the cover after the rain stops and it is still windy. Everything still works after a short ride but need new Aprilia Tuono Mirror mirror and the handlebar end (plastic stub) and the brake lever is bent but not broken, nothing else looks bent to me.

I went online to find lower gas prices...some are pushing close to $4 a gal. and I didn't want to wait till after the weekend so I went out to fill her up and a spare container I have and some groceries... the car was blocking the wind. I should have known better because it has happened before. Oh well. |

Sorry to hear about that. The wind sux here too. Walked out in a "breezeway" between two large 4 story square buildings today and got quite a surprise. We all warned the designing engineer he was creating a wind tunnel when he designed the second structure 10 years after the first was put up, but you know how those engineers can be. One particular gust hit me so hard broadside it forced me to sidestep three steps to the right to keep my balance. Trouble is, there was a 24 inch decorative wall about two and a half steps to the right. I go about 235 lbs these days but it took me over the wall and down the embankment in about a nanosecond. Fortunately I have no need to replace parts. Don't know where I'd get them if I needed them. Glad I left the bike home today. There were no surviving witnesses |

Mine blew over in front of my house on Friday evening in a massive windstorm. I guess I didn't have quite enough angle on the uphill. I didn't like getting out of my car from work to see it on its side. There was zippy damage, thanks to the HB bags, rain cover, and HVMP bar-ends. Unfortunately, my neighbor accused it of hitting his car's rear bumper on its way over and wanted my insurance info. Seriously? For this?!
I guess the corner of the topbox rack dinged it on its way over. Whatever. |
