Ok im in the midst of breaking the bike down to rotate the engine. I am kind of stuck at this point The part wont "scissor" like the manual is asking. Do I loosen the screw on the idler pulley to allow for the scissoring action? or should it scissor without that? |

3 bolts to take it off, then it scissors I literally did this 5 minutes ago. |

Take the left bracket off completely, idler and all.

I took the whole thing off but it didnt scissor on its own...maybe its stuck and i just need to put some muscle into it. neither of you guys loosened the bolt on the idler itself to helpit to scissor? right now the whole thing is off but still stuck on the belt. |

Knipex pliers! Those are the baddest out there. Just as useful as a crescent wrench. |
