Don't know if this is the right place but.....I just need to show it off. Picked it up about a month ago. 3800 original miles, runs and drives like new. Has the factory race kit, Buell seat and PM wheels (which are on there way into storage). Not a fan of the PM, too much work to keep them looking nice. I had them on my first X1 and paid the extra to get them. I just picked up a brand new set of 3 spokers and as I write this they are at the powder coaters becoming 'Snap Red'. Picked up some new Shinko 009 Ravens also. I will be removing the rear fender and installing the carbon fiber under tray with the Motodynamic tail light and American-Torque license plate bracket. The hugger goes next. I picked up the stainless belt guards from American-torque. Both of these along with the rear pulley and license plate bracket will be powder coated gloss black. Eventually I will do the rear swingarm black and have the ss header ceramic coated. Got a pair of new bar end mirrors and that should do me for now.......The only issue I could find on the bike was the paint was peeling on the chin spoiler at the mounting bolts. I wonder if anyone knows who did these paint jobs for Buell?? Anyone? Bueller?? If I need to pay someone to fix this for me I would be more than happy to ship to the ones that did the original work.....Any Thoughts?? Let me know what you guys think.......... http://i558.photobucket.com/albums/ss28/jkgonzo/bu ell1.jpg http://i558.photobucket.com/albums/ss28/jkgonzo/bu ell4.jpg http://i558.photobucket.com/albums/ss28/jkgonzo/bu ell7.jpg http://i558.photobucket.com/albums/ss28/jkgonzo/bu ell5.jpg http://i558.photobucket.com/albums/ss28/jkgonzo/bu ell6.jpg (Message edited by jkgonzo on February 19, 2011) |

UK pawn shops don't have anything like your X1 in them. Pawn Stars has been a revelation to me when I have watched it. The US is much different in that respect. Nice find hope you enjoy it because it a real looker. |

The bodywork was a complete paint set sold out of the HD P&A catalog and installed by a dealer or previous owner. Color Shop (Color House? I forget) in California (or Mexico, depending on date) or Calibre in Port Washington, Wisconsin painted it. |

That's an amazing "factory" paint scheme. Never seen one before. The red wheels will make it really pop out... Is it an '02? |

Kalali It's an '01. I remember seeing one of these on the Harley floor by me when they came out, never thought I'd have one. I just couldn't believe how clean the bike was and how well it runs and drives. Who ever had it before me really took great care of it!! We just had another round of snow here after it almost all was gone.......paitence is a very tough thing to aquire. Zenbiker, I found a place called Kaliber in Port Washington, Wi., sent them an email to see if they had done any of this work.......I'll keep working on it, thanks for a place to start....... Two_Seasons, No, I saw it on Ebay, made him an offer contingent on my approval......loved it, everything was worth the 8hr drive (one way).... |

Beautiful X1! Just love that paint job. Who cares about the chip? Just touch it up & ride the damn thing! You'll end up repainting it & might have a stone hit it! AAARRRGGGGHHH!!! LOL! Seriously, enjoy! |

I got my new rims and tires installed along with a few other pieces......What do ya think?? http://i558.photobucket.com/albums/ss28/jkgonzo/x1 002.jpg http://i558.photobucket.com/albums/ss28/jkgonzo/x1 004.jpg http://i558.photobucket.com/albums/ss28/jkgonzo/x1 003.jpg http://i558.photobucket.com/albums/ss28/jkgonzo/x1 001.jpg Sorry, the bike needs a good washing. Every time I get ready to get it on the road, we get hit with more snow..........Welcome to Wisconsin!! I also found a guy local that took care of some of the paint issues I needed fixed......He did an awesome job and to top it off he had just completed painting Eric Buells new bike. He finished it in time to get it to Daytona. He told me he has the contract to paint the first 100 production models........He does awesome work and his shop is about a half a mile from my house......super cool..... |
