I have a 03 XB9S. Mine did/dose the same thing. I told the mech. at ukes about it... he looked confused and scratched his head. Thats as far as we got. Typical. BTW, the noise doesnt hurt anything. Some bikes its louder than others. On a few the damn fuel pump will drive you nutz from the racket it makes. |

The damm trees have not even started to turn up this way yet!!!! Bloody mild weather - just waiting for the cold, garage cleaned out for the car and bike. Heres a question I am sure someone can answer!!! Should a convertible with a cloth top be stored with it up or down with the tonneau cover on it? |

Newfie, I would have to say "both". Start out with the top up, then two days later put it down. Then two days later put up, then two days later put it down. Repeat this process till ya wear out the hinges. The cloth should hold up great!

Mike, Thats better than Newguys idea. Nancy, About 10 years ago I had a feed of fresh moose steak that you'd die for. Damm stuff was really fresh, tender just like a ..............e-mail me and I will finish the sentence - this is a family show - hehehehe Here is the story, Myself and a friend were at my Cabin (cottage or whatever you guys call your summer retreats). Now this was on Canada Day and we had been there fairly early in the day so seeing there was nothing else to do we started to drink beer. After several hours of beer a couple of locals (insert REDNECKs here) dropped by the house to share a beer. Why not those guys are always good for a laugh!!! So we get talking over a beer and the boys tell us that they just knocked down a young moose!!!about 15 minutes ago, I replied HOLY F&$K your not hurt due to my general drunk state, looked out the window towards where the truck was parked in the driveway and said "The truck is not damaged either!!!" Ever see what happens when Moose meets a Car??? Well one meeting a Pick-Up Truck is not much different!!!! So one of them speaks up and says "Ya stunned Townie, WE KNOCKED DOWN A MOOSE" as he is pulled a empty shell casing out of his pocket. He then said "We sort of forgot where whe knocked it down!!!and need help finding it?" Apparently when they shot it they saw another vehicle in the distance and fled the scene and never marked the spot on the road. By this time it was near dusk and time was getting very short. So off the four of us go, two in the back of the truck, two in the cab fully loaded with rubber boots, t-shirts and or course BEER. Made the 10 minute drive into where they thought it was and hopped out of the truck and started to walk the marsh where the moose was knocked down. After trudging across the marsh with beer for 30 minutes we finally stumbled across the moose. It was a young bull about 600lbs which is pretty small for a moose. Now I have watched butchers care up beef but I never saw such a quick job of gutting and quartering a moose before in my life. The boys had that thing dressed in no time, and we lugged the quarters back to the truck. We got back to the house about 2.5 hrs later for yet another beer and we were starting to get hungry. All that MAN work made us hungry, out killing for food - hehehehehe - felt kind of bad for the moose though. So the BBQ then is lit and heating up, one of the boys goes to the back of the truck and carves off four nice steaks and they are on the grill cooking. Had to be the most tender meat I ever ate - who knows maybe it was the beer but it was some good. Turns out that about every 6 months the boys knock down a moose or caribou (I'd say whatever is closest to the side of the road at the time) for their family to eat. However, Caribou Meat is much nicer than Moose and is way better than eating Seal Carcass or Seal Flippers. I have never tried Turkey Testicles and don't think I will be for a while!!! CJ, yourself and the gals are still invited for some interesting cuisine and a damm good drunk though!!!!! Disclaimer If any Canadian Wildlife Officers are reading this then it was a really cool story which was totally made up for the entertainment of others.
