Author Message   Sprintdog2000 Posted on Monday, February 21, 2011 - 01:14 am:        I have 2 '08 XB9SX's. The fan on serial number 310 runs all the time when the bike is moving over a certain speed, or will come on if I idle for an extended period. The fan always shuts off when I stop the engine. However, the fan on serial number 433 has only ever come on when I stop the engine. The length of time it runs seems to be related to the temperature of the engine when its shut down. I'm interested to know what the fan 'logic' is on the '09 or '10 bikes.   Froggy Posted on Monday, February 21, 2011 - 01:54 am:        Bike 310 has what is known as the 2010 fan control logic, while bike 433 has the original style logic. Bike 433 can be updated to the 2010 type by your dealer downloading the update, or by purchasing a Race ECM.   Sprintdog2000 Posted on Monday, February 21, 2011 - 07:16 pm:        Thx. When I got a recall statement from the HD dealer regarding bike 310, it mentioned a 'product enhancement' had been completed. That was probably the updated fan logic.
