My 1125R will not idle, or restart on the side stand, it has to be upright to maintain idle or restart?

About 30 seconds at idle (on the side stand) it will die, and will not restart unless I hold it upright, the "low fuel pressure" warning is coming on too, only while resting on the side stand, any thoughts?

2009 1125R with about a 50 mile old 2010 engine.

I thought it was acting up due to the cold temperatures, but maybe that is not it, the last few days has been pretty warm here?

I edited because I forgot to add it is completely stock, other than the engine replacement.

Not sure, the engine was dealer installed, and I have no 2010 engine information to resource, so I am in the dark here.

The fuel pump is on the right side of the frame, I've had it happen a few times where the gas level was low enough that the bike would stall on the sidestand, and I couldn't restart it till I stood it up.

(Stupid question) Are you sure you have a full tank of gas?

a) Pinched fuel line – line not clamped – do you smell/see gas?
b) plugged tank vent – will it run OK with the gas cap loose?
b) electrical connector to fuel pump not seated – what’s the voltage display indicate?
c) faulty tip over sensor ( controls elect power to pump?) – reset it/replace it
d) condensation/water in gas – how long was it in the shop?
e) open vacuum line = high idle speed
f) ECM is missing sensor(s) input…. all sensor(s) installed and connected?
g) injectors not connected correctly/completely?
h) kick stand switch - with the stand deployed will the engine run? - or does it have to be retracted

what was the reason for the engine replacement?
good luck

Yeah I was in a haste before work, so I did not get to check anything.

Not a stupid question at all Froggy, I am not sure if the dealer put fuel in it or not?
I did have this happen once before, but I forgot about it until you mentioned it, thank you.

I need to check the fuel level,
Hopefully it is as simple as that.

Anger and a WTF knee jerk reaction has a tendency to cause one to forget the obvious...LOL!

Nuts4mc,
Something came loose inside the engine and destroyed it, I have my thoughts of what happened, but I did not see the engine after they swapped them out, so it is just speculation of what really happened.

It was not a good situation when and how it happened, but now it is time to move on and enjoy the new engine...

Thank you for all of the advice everyone!
